Very much the same way a toddler strikes at a parent as they’re being forcefully led off the playground against their will. Poor choice of execution for that scene. Very weak.
I don't think you appreciate that she's suppose to be his "daughter" and understand how horrifying a visual it is that a "parent" is murdering his child. It was done on purpose to remind you of this which is why it's soo powerful. You missed the point.

Winter Soldier is still at the top for me. Followed by Ragnarok and GOTG2, which I'll put at a tie, as I still struggle to decide which I like better. And then Iron Man followed by Doctor Strange. DS would have been higher if it had come sooner. With so many movies before it that had similar elements, it didn't feel as fresh.

So for readability:

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2./3. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 / Thor: Ragnorok (tie)
4. Iron Man
5. Doctor Strange

I'll give honorable mentions to: Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Thanos is way stronger than she is, which was compounded by the emotional distress that she was in, which certainly affected her ability to think quickly and tactically.

I'm not really sure if any of the Asgardians made it out. Thanos slaughtered half of them, then blew up the ship. The only one the Guardians pulled out of the wreckage was Thor.

Also, do we know whose head became Knowhere? Cause I had the craziest idea that with the oncoming time travel shenanigans... maybe it's Thanos.

Knowhere is the severed head of a unknown Celestial. You see them in GOTG when the Collector is telling the story of the stones.

Was it just me or did that shot of Knowhere look spectacularly amazing in 3D?

Also it was much more detailed image than what was shown in Guardians 1.

I guess I'm one of the few that didn't love this movie. I enjoyed it, and maybe once the sequel comes out I'll appreciate this movie more, but I just thought there were so many characters in this movie that they couldn't give any stories the proper amount of time and were switching around too much. My top 5 would probably look like:

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. Iron Man
3. Marvel's The Avengers
4. Black Panther
5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Saw the film last night with the family ... it was gut wrenching and hilarious all at the same time ... I really loved the film. Simply because of Thanos and that ending was amazing. The MCU really has had weak villians so far ... Thanos finally kicks names and takes ass. Easy 9 out 10 for me, best MCU film thus far. Will be though to beat.

Very few films have left the audience heartbroken at then end. The ending is a gut-wrenching that stays with you. Everyone was broken by that ending.

It was sooooo awesome!!!! Loved the silence leaving the theater ... it felt like a real moment of silence for the victims.

Reminded me of the Empire Strikes Back, same audience reaction.

A few of the folks in my theater were talking about why Fury was paging Wonder Woman.. I laughed my ass off listening to the conversation as we all walked out of the theater.

I saw it last Thursday on opening night, and at the end there was no cheering at all, ever quite Theater.

It was very quite till Fury sent the Page, than what you heard people saying was ooh, that's Captain Marvel's Insignia, etc...

Yeah we had a guy ... I crap you not ... in full Captain America outfit with a prop replica Shield informing us all it was Captain Marvel's insignia. LOL. The best part though for me was the reactions from so many people ... who the hell is that ... LOL ... boy are audiences in for a treat to come.

No doubt. I somehow managed to keep myself in the dark regarding the to-be-continued aspect of this film. So for that reason, some of the only criticism I had while watching it, was the poor showing for Hulk, and also Vision, Black Panther, and Captain America. But now, it seems obvious that most if not all will have much greater roles in the battle to come. Hulk will undoubtedly have a moment similar to Thor's landing in Wakanda, which brought the house down at my showing.

How mind blowing would have been to all nerds if it was the JL logo. I feel like that pager clip will get meme'd hard soon enough, to have all sorts of logos or text on it.

I agree. Normally when a Marvel movie is over, the audience cheers and you can hear multiple conversations happening as you're exiting the theater.

This was the not the case. Credits rolled and it was dead silence.

After the mid-credit scene finished there were at least some claps in the audience as we knew it was Captain Marvel.

But still, people left without a word spoken.

Which I have rarely ever experienced.
