The Amazon listing for Breathless has a different cover than the one shown on Vinegar Syndrome's listing. Could anyone who has the VS version please confirm that the cover does have the comic price box and "FCE Authority" stamp? I like that graphic.

Sorry, it doesn't. It's the same as the one on the VS site.

I'm kind of surprised their release slate hasn't increased. I figured they left OCN so that they could release more than one title a month.

Now that you've mentioned it, I'm sure jah13 will unleash a slate of 15 titles a month for the remainder of the year, taking on both OCN and Kino in terms of market share.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Death of Richie (1977) SYNOPSIS: Based on a true story - A sensitive but confused teenager feels pressure on him from all directions and turns to drugs, which causes problems for him in school and at home. It stars Robby Benson in the lead role (from FCE's Jeremy) and Ben Gazzara! Apparently there is a lost part of the ending that was only included when the TV film originally broadcast. All other times it was subsequently broadcast or released on DVD - this part of the ending was cut. It was cut because NBC Censors at the time felt it was "too extreme". Curious if FCE will be restoring that ending - I won't include what it is because it's a spoiler. ![]() Incident At Crestridge (1981) SYNOPSIS: A woman campaigns for and wins election as sheriff in a crusade against the ineptitude and outright corruption of the local law enforcement in a small town in the West. It stars Eileen Brennan, Bruce Davison (X-Men and Short Eyes), and Pernell Roberts among others! ![]() The Seduction of Gina (1984) SYNOPSIS: Gina is young, recently married and bored. On a trip to Lake Tahoe she discovers the game of blackjack. Increasingly obsessed with gambling, she keeps hoping her lucky streak will last. It stars Valerie Bertinelli, Dinah Manoff (from Grease), and Fredric Lehne among others. Valerie Bertinelli's then husband Eddie Van Halen did the soundtrack for this movie. |

Two out of three of the films deal with addiction... and the third deals with a woman taking over a traditionally male job and facing corruption in public officials...
So this is definitely intriguing and powerful stuff! Plus IMDb gives all 3 films at least a 6.0... So I'm 100% on board - DAY 1!! ![]() ![]() |

I’d love to see John Boorman’s MGM-owned Leo the Last with Marcello Mastroianni get the FCE treatment. It’s streaming on several platforms and looks like shit on all of them, sadly. Very underrated film

Have had a look at all three TV films (on the IMDb), and I would say I've not heard of any of these before (I might have checked out The Seduction of Gina before. Also among it's cast is Michael Brandon (assuming the year it's credited with is correct and the TV film wasn't filmed a few years beforehand and left on the shelf, this was just before TV series Dempsey & Makepeace started on UK TV), Fredric Lehne and Ed Lauter. Among the cast in Incident at Crestridge who are familiar to me, is actor Pernell Roberts (based on the year it's credited with, this is from the time when he was starring in the TV series Trapper John, M.D.). It's never really a dull episode of a TV series he's guest-starred in that I've seen him in (including Mannix). And with The Death of Richie, I saw the same thing which Dr. Eric commented on before me in this thread, in the Alternate versions section for the TV film on the IMDb (a slim hope but hopefully the 'lost' ending has been found). Among the familiar names (to me) in the cast is Eileen Brennan again (also in Incident at Crestridge), Ben Gazzara (hopefully the TV series he starred in in the mid to late-sixties, Run for Your Life, gets a physical media release someday), John Zaremba (I remember him best from the original Dallas TV series) and Clint Howard. When checking out TV film The Death of Richie on the IMDb, I checked out another TV film called Go Ask Alice (1973), whose cast included William Shatner, Ruth Roman, Julie Adams and Andy Griffith. Also among the cast is Ayn Ruymen, who previously starred in the film Private Parts (which is getting a Blu-ray release by Shout! Factory). It originally aired in the States on ABC, which makes me think it might be with Disney (the only production company stated for Go Ask Alice is "Metromedia Producers Corporation"). While checking out each of the three TV films in Primetime Panic 2, I checked out their IMDb company credits pages, and saw "Multicom Entertainment Group" stated underneath the Distributors heading. |
