Pioneer plasma owners will most likely enjoy reading these two brief posts at the following link.

Some people would disagree. People are use to seeing 24fps movies double flashed at 48fps or triple flashed at 72fps. For around 134 years 99% of all movies are native 24fps and people over 100 years old have been watching them like that for over 100 years. 30fps movies look better then 24fps movies and some documentaries are made at native 30fps. Offering higher native frame rates like 30fps, 60fps, 120fps, 240fps, and 480fps is better quality, but people are not use to the look of movies beyond native 24fps.
I really liked the quality of the native 60fps high frame rate movie I saw. Movies should always be shown at their native frame rate or double or triple flashed at the native frame rate for lower cost displays that cannot display at the native frame rate. |

24fps at 3:3 cadence isn't the same as HFR and that's a very narrow definition of "quality" that I can't imagine anyone else subscribing to.

Also, today even though the year 2008 Yamaha A/V receiver has been using the exact same AAA batteries for 17 years, those batteries were changed out with AAA lithium batteries from Energizer today also. The Yamaha A/V receiver from 2008 was not even using alkaline AAA batteries but instead Super Heavy Duty non alkaline by EASTPOWER (and since they are still around 1.4 volts DC I ended up keeping them and keeping the 1.2 volts DC Fujitsu to use in some type of device in the future). But it is amazing that Super Heavy Duty and Alkaline batteries that are used every single day lasted 17 years. I have been having some technical problems with Lithium batteries by Energizer going bad, with sometimes once a year or once every two years, only one battery going bad out of 4 batteries or sometimes one battery going bad out of 2 batteries, when instead all the batteries should have lasted a minimum of 10 years in a remote control (Lithium AA batteries are around 1.8 volts DC, but when they go bad in less than a year they measure almost zero volts like an internal fuse blew, and the other batteries in the same device are around 1.4 volts DC or 1.5 volts DC). I have been trying to get one of my family members to try a different brand of lithium battery that is made in China and according to the specs on Amazons website is better than Energizer. Therefore, instead of tossing out Lithium batteries that go bad in one year or less, I would like to try a different brand of lithium battery that is more reliable. So I am personally unhappy with the quality of Energizer lithium batteries in terms of longevity, but they are leak proof. Over the years I have seen some Duracell and Energizer alkaline batteries end up leaking in a device. Bottom line batteries are not made as good as they use to be, but that might have changed with some new state of the art designs that were made in China that I have not tried yet. Also, we are doing disposable lithium AA and AAA batteries instead of rechargeable. Lithium batteries in a remote control or smoke alarm are rated to last 10 years and I have seen them last that long, but the last batch of Energizer brand in the last 2 to 3 years has technical problems that one needs to change the batteries in a remote control once a year. But I have never ever seen a Lithium battery leak. |
