TNA Announces The 6-Sided Ring Is Officially Back

TNA has announced that the 6-sided ring is officially back and will return this week at Wednesday's Impact Wrestling tapings the Manhattan Center in New York City. Here's the official announcement:

Fans voted and the TNA Board of Directors listened! Beginning this week at our New York tapings, the 6-sided ring returns to IMPACT Wrestling!

Last week, IMPACTWrestling.com posted a poll for the fans to vote on their favorite TNA ring, 4-sides or 6-sides. We can now exclusively report that the TNA Board of Directors requested this information during a series of closed door meetings regarding the future of TNA Wrestling. Fans voted overwhelmingly for one of the options and this was presented to the Board during another private meeting today.

Giving the fans a major voice in the decision, the TNA Board of Directors has just revealed to IMPACTWrestling.com their decision to reintroduce the 6-sided ring! Effective immediately, the new 6-sided ring is set to debut at the upcoming IMPACT television taping on June 25th at New York City’s famed Manhattan Center.

Carlito was sort of a re-hash of Razor Ramon.

Evolution was sort of a re-hash of the Four Horsemen (Even had Flair!)

And of course the Authority is somewhat of a re-hash of the Corporation vs. Austin angle (except this time it was Daniel Bryan).

I'd venture to say in a few years we'll see a new incarnation of an nWo/DX type of group.

Wyatts were supposed to be a PG-13 type of Ministry of Darkness minus the religious overtones and sacrificial lambs. Abduct new members, etc.

I watched a little of Impact last night to see who they were bringing in to replace MVP and it was Kurt Angle...for a second I thought it was Jeff Jarrett when I saw JJ on the limo's license plate.

They just did it this time because they were taping in New York.

Not quite.

It saves them on travel expenses since they can do 2-4 episodes in one location over two days. They did this a lot when they first went on the road. The reason they're also doing it now is because they don't have a home yet. While they were still taping week to week they failed to renew their contract with Universal Studios for the Impact Zone in time and somebody else has the space for the foreseeable future. This is something they for sure want to remedy asap.

If you gave me a ticket for free I wouldn't even go as I'd be too embarassed with so few people there

They need to just stick to TV tapings and international shows/tours

There was probably a good 750 people when they came across the pond
