Damn, I just noticed that I've put 60 hours into this game.
For me, that is incredibly rare (especially in 2 months!) The only game I've played more of recently is Skyrim (over 100 hours), and maybe GTA V, though when I was young I probably played the PS2 Maddens about an hour a day after school, so I'm sure their usage times were astronomical. To be fair, though, this game was almost made specifically for me. Horror is my genre of choice, and I hold a special affinity for Lovecraft. So I guess it shouldn't be a big surprise to me that I've enjoyed the hell out of it. Last edited by ariakon; 05-19-2015 at 05:33 PM. |

So far the dungeons that I have done have been entertaining but not super difficult. Some of the bosses were a little hard but not like in the main game. Maybe I have to go deeper. Taking a break for a few days though to play some Destiny and get actually started/re-started on Witcher. Besides, the Unseen Village was making my blood pressure go up. |

this game is SOOOOOO damn good and I had so much fun with it. Well, it was also probably the most stress I've ever had playing a game, heh. But so worth it. Didn't do ALL the chalice dungeons on my first playthrough yet as I play the game without co-op help exclusively and that one defiled dungeon where you only have half your health bar really kicked my ass. But fortunately you take over your dungeon progress into your next playthrough, yay!
Even bought the strategy guide and a T-shirt today, tee hee. The art style of this game is right up my alley. I mean even if the game wasn't as much fun as it is, I'd enjoy to just drool over the beautiful design of Bloodborne. Hope the expansion will be great too! I will definitely play through it again but there's so many other games I need to play too, ugh. So many games, so little time! |

![]() On the plus side, Celestial Emissary was the easiest boss I've ever encountered. Now let's see if I can beat Ebriatas. |

OK Guys I have been reading this thread off and on and now I am convinced I need this game, I also just got an email from Gamestop showing that this will be on sale for $39.99 new starting tomorrow(Monday) for about a week long while supplies last.
So what I am hoping someone can help me with is this, is there a good tutorial at all on what to do, not to do, in what order to not mess things up later in the game etc.? I just don't want to miss out lol ![]() Thanks in advance for any and all tips/help. |

as for 'missing out': 1) I personally didn't follow ANY side story, I actually didn't know they exist until I read about them here, when I saw people talking about characters in the game, I was like wtf are they talking, maybe later in the game.. but in the end, I didn't witness any of that, but I didn't feel like I missed out, because it's not a "story driven" game, at least not to me, also this is what re-plays are for ![]() 2) as for the second type of missing out, which is way more important imo, are optional areas/bosses, but good news is, before you encounter the final boss, you can roam the world in any order you want, you can re-visit all area and not miss out on anything what I would recommend, is just to play and discover the game alone (without following a guide), you might need to spend a lot of time in the first area to gain levels, but it get easier afterwards |

For the cords, to make sure you can get at least 3 and trying not to spoil too much, you: - Need to tell Arriana (the prostitute) in the Lower Cathedral Ward district to find refuge in the Oedon Chapel (not the clinic) / Do so -before- arriving in Byrgenwyrth (and definitely before defeating Rom) - If you recruit Adella the Nun, do not keep Arianna's blood on you, but rather have Adella's (avoiding Adella's jealousy and risk of her killing Arianna) - Do not send the suspicious beggar/ found on a roof to the Chapel (he would kill the present NPCs) The other 2 cords are either un-missable (1 dropping from a mandatory boss) or available at any time to discover (1 in a secret location). |
