They should just play this trailer 4+ times in a row.
Should be required at every theater for every Scream print and maybe it could get a boost at the box office .

My mate managed to buy a hype post for his zero budget final year Uni film off of a horror film blog site for dirt cheap, I imagine a studio with clout knows where to target pre-release hype for these things. Heck Halloween Kills had “screening buzz” for two years and it came out to a massive meh from people.

That would have been smart. I have some co-workers interested in the new one that haven't seen the others. I told them not to go see this if they haven't seen the others. They aren't really streaming anywhere so I can't tell them to watch them first. Maybe I should have just encouraged them to see this anyway so it could get their money.

Scream 1-2 are on Peacock Premium.

That's the bad thing about all these streaming services.. they never have the complete series of movies.

I got a Paramount+ trial and noticed the Friday The 13th movies on there and wanted to watch them but they're missing 3 and 4????

Yeah I used the JustWatch app the other day and saw that but nobody has Peacock so it doesn't matter.

So while we are talking about rewatching these...I watched my Blu of Scream 4 last week. How much of that awful look is just part of the film, and how much is because of the transfer?

I mean, I get that the lens flare/bloom stuff is inherent in the film (unfortunately), but it just looks...weird and all wrong in other ways, too. It almost feels shot on video at times. Skin tones and color in general are all over the place (even in the same scenes). I looked it up, and it got a 5.0 rating in the review here, and nothing but glowing, amazing reviews upon release.

Just curious what a potential 4K might look like, if they do it right. Or is it always kinda gonna look like that.

Its the film, it looks like poop. I was rewatching it on iTunes and had to stop because I dont like the look. Its like a yellow tint, I dunno just weird. I dont remember having an issue with it before but now it just bugged me. Scream 3 looks better so I decided to rewatch that instead. Imagine how bad it looks that I decided for Scream 3 lol

"Still Screamin'". Followed by the new trilogy: "I Scream", then "You Scream", and ending with "We All Scream". The tenth installment is just called "Yikes!"

All three very positive.

More reviews slowly dropping around the interwebs…

Edit: another very positive one:

https://www.cbr.com/scream-2022-movie-review/amp/

Overall positive if not very positive:

https://ew.com/movies/movie-reviews/scream-2022-review/

Another overall pretty positive:

https://www.digitalspy.com/movies/a3...m-review-2022/

Very positive:

https://collider.com/scream-5-review/amp/

Very positive:

https://www.cinemablend.com/movies/s...ns-new-and-old

Lukewarm/slightly positive:

https://www.theguardian.com/film/202...creak-with-age

A negative one:

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/mo...235073697/amp/

Negative:

We’ll see how the scores develop over the weekend but at least with critics so far it seems to be overall quite positive with a few mediocre-to-bad scores.

RT starting with a 91% with 11 reviews. It'll be interesting to see if it actually ends up with the best score out of all 5 movies.
