No 4K for Tales of Hoffmann that screams for 4K disc

Great for those who are not region free, but have has the UK BLU for several years.

Interested in Rouge (WPintW is a great film, though; already have the British release of Hoffman).

Shaft, Pink Flamingos & Tales of Hoffman are for sure purchases! Will probably [ick up The Worst Person The World (any movie named after me, has my interest). Farewell Amor sounds really interesting. haven't seen or heard of Rouge, but will check it out.

I've always felt ABT3 was unfairly maligned. Sure they lost John Woo, but it's still a better sequel than the mess that is ABT2.

Yeah, A Better Tomorrow III was much better than expected and is better made film than a ABT2. However, ABT2 will always be more memorable due to the fried rice scene, and the insanity of the mansion shoot out at the end of the film.

Also pretty crazy that we never got a Better Tomorrow III on even DVD in the US. Dragon Dynasty was prepping a boxset with all three, but it never happened for whatever reason.

I wonder why Shaft in Africa got, pardon the expression, shafted.

Very likely Studiocanal didn't grant them 4K rights for it. I think only titles that SC also plans to release on 4K have been licensed to CC for 4K too.

Maybe because it wasn't directed by Gordon Parks while Shaft's Big Score was.

Very excited to get Shaft and Pink Flamingos. The others don't look like they're for me, but I'm good with two.

They have changed their release plans and added a 4k edition before. Wonder if they can be convinced on this one too. It’s an absolute natural. I’d consider any Powell/Pressburger in 4k as an absolute must.

I can see myself moving the Shaft trilogy and getting this one. I can’t imagine how much more I’ll feel the need to revisit Shaft in Africa.

Pink Flamingos will definitely spoil Surfin' Bird for you in THAT scene (no, the other one). RIP David E. Gluck.
