You mean Kenny Powers? lol, I swear he has forgotten all sense of reality and what is real. Everything from his twitter, to his new commercials with KSWISS is all about the Kenny Powers character. 100% dedication, which is deserving, because Eastbound & Down is one funny show.

He was pretty darn funny in The Heartbreak Kid as well.

Awesome guy, one of my favorite actors (back in the Freaks & Geeks days), and would love to see any film he's in get a Criterion release.

Come on now man, what's wrong with hipsters?!
I love James Franco. I really want to see 127 Hours, but I probably need to wait until my exams are over. It may not even come to B'ham. I will have to check. When I hear hipster, I think Snooki.

Hmm, that's a very different image of hipster than is usually associated with the word around my neck of the woods.

I didn't know you could do a bootleg of a Blu ray at his point... however I would need to see more pics of more of the case.. that close up with the region coding kind of bugs me it doesn't look very defined.

UPDATE.. I guess it does look about right I am checking out my old slipcover case now. The print job isn't the mot clear I've seen... It looks legit to me.

i've only got a phone camera so i'll do the best i can, but is there any specific angles of the case/wrapping that would help?

the one from that criterion site you linked to has this photo and it seems to suffer from the same lack of definition. but again, not sure.

I live a stone's throw away from Silverlake and Echo Park. I know my hipster d-bags. For the record, the only people I've ever heard get upset about hipster are self hating hipster wannabes.

Sad but true.

I think it is the real deal. And yeah those old cases always were dinged up badly even at Barnes & Noble... I ordered my replacement case as soon as I could from Criterion.

thanks for responding. there's only so many ways i can phrase that before it starts to seem insincere, but i mean it. these details tend to drive me mad.

so i guess it's safe to say it's a legit copy. now the only thing i'm wondering is the resealing. it's kind of insane to expect someone, anyone to remember it, but does that sealing job (L-shape) ring a bell?

my copy of MWFTE had the seal form a sort of U-shape on the back cover area and that's my only point of reference. again, the guy said it was new, but with the dings and lack of blue sticker, i just wanted to make sure.

once this whole business is as confirmed as it gets, believe me: i'll be sending out for that case.

My college Russian is rusty, but it appears to be spam, something about downloading songs, photos, and Stephen King books.

Apparently my mom picked me up quite a few Criterions for Christmas. I know this because they were delivered... to me. Every time she orders something online I am home when it's delivered, haha.

I'm looking forward to actually having a decent ammount of them. While Vivre Sa Vie and Benjamin Button are good, they are awfully lonely on my shelf.

It would the bomb if Criterion could get the rights to release the whole Monkees TV series in a boxset. I saw the CC blu of "Head" a few days ago and want more Monkees on blu!!! BOTH Head & the TV series are now owned by Rhino so it could happen since CC got the right to Head as part of the BBS set....

Well that confirms that the movie was BARELY ok. I really don't care about the impact it had on film making. BORINGGGGGG. I thought i was missing something and i didn't want to downplay the movie because of my own intelligence.

3/5 at best.
