Hey Aces. Not today, that will be tomorrow night. I did have a bowl of raisin bran crunch this morning. The last couple of weeks I've only had Sunday off, so my one day weekend starts tomorrow evening.

What's up Wabo? It's a weird sum-b!tch.

Have you seen Prometheus yet? I really loved it.

Yeah, Prometheus really surprised me. I figured I would enjoy it, but it turned out to be so much better than I expected. Cabin in the Woods was really odd. At least you can't say that it was too formulaic.

Formulaic may have been an improvement.

I would say it's definitely worth a rental to check out at least once. I kind of liked it, but I wouldn't say I loved it.

The Prometheus blu-ray is sheer A/V perfection.

He hasn't seen it yet, he was just responding to what Aces and I said about it.

I just got home from bb. I watched Prometheus for the first time last night and I loved it. It also has the best A/V that I've seen/heard in quite some time.

Good Saturday afternoon Joe. Got yourself another BD concert Eh? I need to get another one too just for something new to play. I always check the aisle at Fry's when I go but have not seen anything reasonably priced or just have to have.

Right back at you buddy. Yeah, I bought some Slipknot. Pretty heavy stuff, but I wanted to buy something different. I sold about 30 BD concerts when I went broke and I would like to re-buy them all again, but I just wanted something that was completely new to me. According to the review on here, it's supposed to have some great audio and pretty amazing LFE.

Although progressive rock/fusion is probably my overall favorite style of music, I really like everything from classic rock, funk, metal, dub-step, bluegrass, blues, classical, reggae, etc. Pretty much almost everything except for almost all modern country, modern pop, and rap.

I think you'll be very happy with the A/V presentation.

I'd say that by the time I get back in here later tonight, you'll probably be in bed, and I'll probably be pretty incoherent by then, but I'll post my thoughts on it, and then we can both read them tomorrow.

My little Slipknot blu-ray review:

First off, there are concert titties, but they blur the girl's faces when they pop'em out, and throughout the entire concert there is lots of foul language.

After I turned my subs up +4db in my receiver, it sounded great. Joey Jordison's drums are some of the most staccato(quick) sounding drums that I've ever heard. The drums are really hot in the mix overall. One thing that I noticed was that the surrounds were almost not used at all, even for the crowd noise. I prefer active surrounds for most movies, but I don't care as much for it in concerts, so I kind of liked it.

Good review! I need to watch a concert today. Maybe Crossroads, thinking about it after the guitar talk the other day.

I watched part of the first disc from the Crossrods BD right after the Slipknot. Now I'm watching "The Torture Never Stops" DVD from Zappa Sr.
