Wide ratios ar3 is traction good for this reason

ARRIRAW (3.4K) (6.5K) (source format)
Digital Intermediate (master format)
Dolby Vision

So, it wasn't shot entirely on the Alexa 65. I bet only the VFX plate shots are Alexa 65. Live action and dialogue stuff are all going to be on the regular Alexa XT.

Will this be the the first Jurassic Park film to be shot on Digital camers ?

I've heard there will be quite a few Anamotronics used in Fallen Kingdom including some of the T-Rex which goes back to the methods used in the first 3 films which use a blend of practical FX and CGI.

Only 1 Anamotronic was used in Jurassic World and it was pretty shoddy tbh.

I think it was the Brontosaurus who died in Owen's arms.

Do you mean the big underwater one that jumps up and eats sharks? That's the mosasaurus, and it's not technically a dinosaur.

No, that was full CGI. The only active Anamotronic used in JW was the Brontosaurus head.

The bronto that the I-Rex kills for sport and Pratt kinda soothes to death. And then the raptor heads in their muzzles were also animatronic with CG enhancements IIRC.

Someone who loves the JP movies told me this is the original T-Rex from Jurassic Park 1, identified by his scars. True? If so, that's kind of cool.

Yes, and her name is Rexy. Female dinosaurs. Big plot point in the first movie.

Edit: And I just remembered it's kind of a joke in Jurassic World as well. Pay attention to the raptors whenever D'Onofrio's character is teasing them and later on near the end.

We've also got hints that most of the animatronics will be CG-enhanced. The T-Rex already looks CG-enhanced in the shot below -

Awesome-Trailer-Tease-1.jpg

I think almost all practical stuff will be CG-polished in the final cut.

Unless her frog DNA decided to change sex that's a female Rex. Only three of them left now after one bit the dust in JP3. However there's still a Spinosaur out there somewhere on Isla Sorna.

Yep, same goes for the pterosaurs. Basically, any prehistoric reptile that flies or is completely adapted to a life in water isn't a dinosaur.

Indeed, still the same rex, which we also saw in Jurassic World.

And yes, it's a female.

It's true, the original batch of dinosaurs had the ability to change sex (they took care to avoid repeating that mistake when they bred new ones for the new park, I'd think), but there has to be more than one individual for that to happen. The OG T. rex/Rexy/whatever you prefer to call her is the only one of her kind on Isla Nublar which is why she's remained female.

I don't think we know just how many Tyrannosaurs there are on Sorna. We saw the family of three in TLW, then another one in JPIII (was never confirmed to be the baby from TLW so I think it's just a different rex), which makes four. Sorna is where the dinosaurs were originally "engineered", so I'd say chances are good there are even more. Of course, some of them may have died in the years since.

Ultimately, there are however many the filmmakers want there to be.

The fan theory that the JP3 rex was the baby and thus the reason why Spiny beat it I guess makes sense, but I never wanted to believe it. Especially after watching the hilarious Lego version of the JP2 cutscenes.
