The Clippers are infectious with rust. Wish they would move to the Honda Center already.

Great opening night of basketball!

The Celtics started off slow but picked it up in the 2nd quarter. Still too many careless mistakes and were lucky that the Cavs didn't tie it up eventually. But that team is deep, the bench is solid...even with Davis being out. Wallace really stretches the floor and allows Pierce to work 1v1 which is wear he shines.

Some observations:

Rondo's defensive game gets better and better each year

Kobe can still dominate a game offensively when he needs too

Dirk in mid-season form already

Eric Gordon will take a big step this year in becoming a stud

Baron Davis will be a cancer to the Clippers

Delonte West is more crucial to the Cavs than we think

The Rockets are in trouble

man there was one play where Rondo literally snatched the ball from Shaq TWICE while going up for offensive rebounds

I was hyped as hell when I saw him hustling like that

that was like the sloppiest basketball ive ever seen..the lakers bench too...even though its not really been there since lakers celtics finals...hopefully they will step up this year

I know he is. I'm just messing with him. But, he does like to talk a little smack about my Heat though which I welcome of course. The true test will be tonight's game though. We'll see who's closer to competing for their division title this year.

abysmal first half. The Heat missed so many shots, but we missed double what they did. I expect Miami to blow it open in the second half. Probably looking at a 15-20 point loss. Par for the course.

The Rooster is Galinari. aka Matador Defense. aka I Suck So Bad On Defense I Make Michael Beasley Look Like Scottie Pippen In His Prime.

on another note....Orlando is looking like a runaway train.

Hey, easy with Beasley bud. He had a couple of great defensive moments in the first half. I think that's the part of his game that he worked on the most in the off-season.
Oh and yes, both teams shot the ball poorly in the first half. It was tough to watch for a little while there, but when the second quarter was winding down, it was nice to see the Heat go on that little run. It all starts on defense baby.

He has been a cancer for years, so no surprises there, really. Also, you forgot to mention Ricky Davis, another trouble maker on their roster. Seriously, unless both of them are gone, this team won't go anywhere.

You are giving him way too much credit.

The Rockets are in trouble
The silver lining is that, T-Mac's contract is off the book after this year. Assuming Yao is back at a 100% next year, with their high draft pick and cap space in the summer of 2010, anything can happen.

One thing I'd like to add is that, with a little over 5 minutes left the Cavs could go 0-2 to start the season. Wow!

It is official, the Cavs are 0-2 to start the season and lost a tie-breaker to the Cs in the process. That could come back and bite them big time next April, ouch!

On the other hand, people may need to pay more attention to the Raptors this year. I don't think they are as bad as some predicted. One thing is for sure, they have some decent size and pretty good ballhandling with Hedo and Bosh.
