Well considering a remake of Commando is in development we would probably see a re-release around the time that is coming out.

I'm super glad this version was just announced! I thought about picking up the original blu-ray, but will for sure hold off until this one.

I'm really stoked about Predators as well. I'm not a huge fan of the recent alien vs predator series, but I think bringing it back to its roots is a wise decision. And you really can't go wrong with Adrian Brody. Solid choice.

Is this re-release Predator going to have a new transfer? I'm not getting excited yet. And still, even if it has a new transfer, the current version isn't a terrible one. I don't think a remaster is even going to be worth it for me when the current version is above average, in my opinion.

It has the writer and director David Ayer working on it but that doesn't mean it is guaranteed we will see it actually on the big screen but it is likely it is seeming.

I personally doubt this is a new master. I'm guessing same master, maybe an AVC transfer. Probably won't look any different. Just a double-dip release with the special features added.

I am not getting too excited about this release. I am almost positive that if it does happen, its only special features that are being added to the original disc. No extended cut (which doesn't exist) or remaster. Especially since the original Blu-ray is already a pretty good transfer IMO.
