I don't know how someone could see a movie in a theater 11 times either! I think 2 times is the most I've been. If I have been 3 times (which I don't recall), it would only have been for the sake of watching it for someone else.

I think my record is Harry Potter 5 with 5 times, or I think Twilight 6 times.

I think I saw "The Dark Knight" either 4 or 5 times. I don't know how someone could justify paying to see a movie even 10 times in the theater, let alone 43. Insane.

I suppose he never actually said that he saw it in theatres 43 times. It could have been more questionable means

I have never saw a movie more than twice at the theatres. I've only done it with Toy Story 3 I think.

5 for the first LotR. But it was easy back then for me to see a movie numerous times. I was working at said theatre lol.

Toy Story 3 and Treminator Salvation were the only movies I saw more than once in theatres, and in particular 2 times.

This looks twice the price to me.

I hardly feel 'short changed' as you put it. Your expectations of having loads of content released the same year as the actual hardware was released is by far expecting too much. Standard 2D BD was released, what almost 4-5 years ago at this point, and we still haven't even seen a majority of the most popular catalog titles, why would 3D be any different in terms of amount of titles available during its infancy period?
We are already seeing re-releases of Blu-Ray titles as the process gets better and standard settle (Terminator, Pradator, Gladiator etc). To buy a 3D title now when I don't plan on buying a new TV till my current one burns out in a few years doens't make sence. I risk the chance of haveing a better authored 3d version when I buy me set... (the Bronze Edition vs the Gold Edition vs the Diamond Edition vs the Best Ever Yet Again Edition etc.)

Really like the box art except for the huge Blu-ray+DVD line at the top and the giant picture thing in the corner. Really hope they fix those things.

Yeah. I have to agree with you on the "Blu-ray + DVD" banner. That needs to go or at least make it smaller. With the little promo on the corner, I'm pretty sure that will be a sticker. I just hope this will get a slipcover. No word on it yet.

How to Train Your Dragon Blu-ray 3D Exclusive to Samsung

Quote:
The announcement detailing Dreamworks Animation's plans to bring How to Train Your Dragon to Blu-ray and DVD on October 15 omitted any semblance of a Blu-ray 3D release despite the film being a big 3D draw in cinemas earlier this year.

The reason a Blu-ray 3D version of How to Train Your Dragon was not previously announced came to light today with news that Samsung will release the title exclusively in their 3D starter kit. Unless you're pals with someone at Samsung or plan on buying a Samsung Blu-ray 3D rig in the near future, you can forget about watching How to Train Your Dragon on Blu-ray 3D for at least the remainder of this year.

The Samsung Blu-ray 3D starter kit will be updated with How to Train Your Dragon sometime this fall. Later this year, all four Shrek films on Blu-ray 3D will be available exclusively via a Samsung hardware purchase as well.

To date there are only three confirmed Blu-ray 3D titles that can be purchased individually at retail: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (available now), Monster House (September 14) and Disney's A Christmas Carol (November 16). James Cameron's Avatar is rumored to be coming to Blu-ray 3D for individual sale in 2011.

It's possible that the cover art is just a promotional version and the banner won't even be there like Warner does with their combo packs before they are released. My copy of Monsters vs. Aliens is the Target exclusive combo pack and it doesn't look like that. They might just combine the two banners into one (and make it blue) like they did on the combo pack for that. There's no doubt that the other thing on there is a sticker, especially if there is a slipcover. I would expect one of those as well since Paramount seems to love slipcovers.

Yeah, if it does have a slipcover it will most likely look like the Target exclusive (Blu-ray + DVD) slips. We can only cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Right. I'm still buying it regardless, but nicer is better.
