Well they're ridiculous here! I'm tempted myself, I much prefer the look of the US set, the UK looks to be very simple with just cases inside a box (which is great if you would prefer to save space), but the book packaging of the US set looks great!

Presumably this was shot on 3-perf 35mm, from which the centre 4:3 was extracted for broadcast. Sitcoms shot on 35mm are a totally alien concept to UK television production.
Even if I loved this show (I don't, I despise it), I can't begin to imagine why I or anyone else would want to shell out hard-earned cash to see it on Blu-ray. |

It's not compulsory to buy to it. Unlike Avatar and The Dark Knight I'm sure there's a law stating everyone must own those.... |

Was it the newest sets on DVD that had the unseen episodes? |

[Show spoiler] Up until then the UK had only seen the broadcast ones except for I think the individual volume DVD releases of season 7 and 8. And I think maybe the last episode was always extended? However, the US has only seen the release of the extended versions on DVD as far as I'm aware. Last edited by nametag; 06-24-2012 at 09:24 PM. |

Hey, is it Region Free?...
I really want to see some screenshots though. I think it will be just fine, but I'd really like to see the difference. ![]() Then, I think I'll wait with my purchase anyway, it will probably be around long enough and drop in price as well. And like the DVD-box, I'm sure another one will come out, most likely for an anniversary. |

Amazon UK also added the regular boxart to their product page
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Friends-Comp.../dp/B0083SEZM0 Keeping my fingers crossed this is the def boxart for the UK. |

On a side note, it baffles me to see there are no rating logos on the box. But then again, we're still not sure it's the final UK artwork.

The age rating will definitely be on the final box design - I think it's like a legal requirement or something. They may be able to put them on the side of the box though - they are on my West Wing boxset.

I don't. But I wouldn't be surprised as the UK often gets shafted with an uglier box compared to the US. Guess this would end up on my long waiting-list of US-imports. Quote:
I don't mind terrible, especially on a larger box, but they create separate prints for info, text and logos more and more, even on box-sets. |
