Would say German for picture quality but only just.

What sort of interviews does the Australian version have?

I need to get a copy of that! If it's region-free, that is.

Apparently there is a Steelbook with digital copy like with the new of Salem's Lot. At least that one had a image from the film instead of some new thing

Once again the Germans are first out of the gate with a premiere. Not sure if I want to import this, though. I may just wait out the eventual US release.

I wouldn't hold out much hope of a quick port. It's owned by Studiocanal in Europe (this release), Warner in the US.

Nice it's getting a 4K somewhere. I hope a label get it for a 4K special edition. I really hope the deleted after the test screening prologue gets found.

Also here is a YouTube video with behind the scenes stuff of Cat's Eye & Maximum Overdrive. It's in Italian but has English subtitles.

BD-66? Many have claimed that a full BD-100 doesn't matter, but others claim it does matter. Is this going to have HDR?

I look at Godzilla 2014, BD-100. And Godzilla Vs Kong 2021, BD-66. The BD-100 looks a lot better.

Has anyone else viewed the new 4K version?
The color grading is so bad that I couldn't keep watching. It's so ugly and almost hurts your eyes.
I'm sorry but I've seen this many times on VHS, DVD, TV and even the first Blu-ray... this is NOT how it originally looked or how it's supposed to. Someone messed up again.
It has a yellow/teal hue that's very distracting. You can't even tolerate watching for more than 15 minutes.

Glad I skipped it. I saw the trailer for this restoration and thought it looked off. I watched my US bluray recently and still think that looks great.

Bummer that they muffed this one, but I can't say I'm totally surprised. I'm not exactly in love with the look of some of the Classics Remastered releases in the last few years.
