Did anyone here see the new Strangers film and what were your thoughts on it? Was it just as good as the first film?

It’s a completely different type of film. The first is a very slow, 70s style “stalker” movie, the sequel is a balls to the wall 80s style slasher. Both are great for entirely different reasons, but imo Prey at Night is more entertaining.

From personal experience today and reading about it on facebook, most BB do have this, but few have it out on the floor. I had to have someone go dig one out of the back for me, just like almost all the comments on facebook had to do also. Check BB website and if it offers store pickup at your store, they probably do have em in back.

Same here. The guy had to search in the back for it.

Lately it seems with most Shout/Scream Factory titles if you wait a month or two you can get them for $15 or less.

Lots of em you can. Makes me wonder why Hell Night hasn't taken a real dive yet. Fun fact, I used my $3.18 gift card from price matching Hell Night at 10:30 today on my Strangers blu at 10:35!

45 days to go to $14.99 since I'm elite somehow!

Yea, this was the case at my local BB today. They had the tag on the shelf but the blu's were still in back. I had the lady grab this and Incredible Hulk 4K for me, which was also still in back. Had $15 in RZ certs too so I basically got Strangers for free.

Really curious to re-watch this as I haven't seen it since opening night in theaters when I was in college. I didn't realize it at the time of purchase but I guess I'm having a Liv Tyler double-feature tonight with both this and Incredible Hulk.

Just wanted to share how stunning this disc looks. Perfect colors, perfect blacks, perfect overall look. Feels like a brand new movie shot today.

Props to Shout for delivering such a stellar presentation, it really sinks the Universal disc which looks quite bland.

My store doesn't even have any tags out for it. No signs if it's existence at all.

Yea, it's damn good. 4k HDR has spoiled me and even I was taken aback by this disc. Maybe the best transfer Shout Factory has commissioned. Movie holds up real well too. Besides the usual idiotic decisions made, the suspense and dress is off the charts.

I saw it upscaled on 4K and it looked wonderful, heck it could have totally passed for a 4K release minus the HDR. And yeah, I’ve always been a fan of the film even with their lame choices.

But 10 years is a long time people have aged and technology has changed over the years but it's a good thing The Strangers still holds up today.
