**THE STRANGERS Update & Artwork Reveal **

At Comic-Con this year we announced that a 10th anniversary Blu-ray of the home-invasion blockbuster would be coming soon from us and today we have some more exciting information on it to share with you today!

• Official street date is March 6th, 2018--just ahead of the next film Strangers: They Prey at Night, which opens up in theaters on March 9th.

• This is a 2-Disc set that will contain both the theatrical and unrated versions of the film. It will be branded as a “Collector’s Edition” that will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date). U.S. and Canada territories (Region A).

• The newly-commissioned artwork pictured comes to us from the CRP Group (Firestarter, Rabid, Species, Drag Me to Hell). This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will be a cool variant from the original theatrical exploration. (See below in the comments for visual)

• Extras and specs are still in progress and will be announced at a later date. However, we can confirm today that we will be doing a brand new film transfers

I really liked this movie (one of my favorite modern horror movies), but I have zero interest in this. Scream Factory really blew it this year. Looks like the well has gone dry.

The Strangers was a DI finish, so transfer doesn't really apply.

This film has a kind of maddening beautiful first fifteen minutes or so. It makes me want to see Bertino direct a drama.

Great movie; probably the last time I've ever been scared in a theatre.

I've been thinking of adding it to my collection, so this is interesting news. Though, I have to admit I'm wary of the usual ugly art Scream Factory commissions for their releases.

I love this movie, and I consider it to be one of the best horror films of the 2000s, but I also think that the existing Blu-ray is decent.

I'm watching this thread with great interest to see if a double-dip is warranted.

I just have zero interest in collector's editions of recent films----

if the existing blu ray is good quality then I'm good with that....

When a collector's edition comes out for an older movie I enjoy seeing the retro docs with the actors looking older and reminiscing about their experience.

I've never seen this one. I remember it was compared to the French film Ils (Them) which has a pretty similar premise. I wish that one would come out on BD in the US, it's a really tense movie.

this movie has a divided reaction around here, that's for sure.
I found it to be very scary for the first half, disturbing and unpleasant for the 2nd half.

It delivers what it's supposed to.... it's a very good film.
