Love the Blu releases by MVD so far. Just not loving the prices.

Yeah, they have a bunch of titles I would love to pick up, but not at those prices, especially here in Canada.

I recently discovered The MVD Rewind Collection and it's really great to have another boutique label around. I really like how this label will be diverse and release films from various genres
I have preordered The Return of Swamp Thing and I'm looking forward to Lionheart and Windrider.

I have some title suggestions for MVD!
I'm not including any Horror titles because like MVD Rewind Guy said a lot of other labels are already tackling the genre. I know some of the films on the list are with the major studios and they might be hard to license.

I am interested in all of the titles that I am listing but I'm going to start off with my most wanted list

Most Wanted

A Mill Creek Rep told me that they have The New Kids, MVD should try to get it from them it doesn't seem like they will be releasing this title on Blu-ray anytime soon. I know that Surf II might be with another company but I would really like this on blu-ray as well !

More titles I am Interested in

I literally bought The New Kids Spanish Blu Ray last night.

Getting too impatient waiting for US/UK labels to release movies like that.

I don't have a region free player at the moment. The Mill Creek rep did say that they still had the rights to The New Kids a few months back, I just don't get why they still haven't released it on Blu-ray yet ?

No idea mate. Waste of a title if they didn't release it.

I know it takes time to get things released but if labels gave us a very early indication about future releases, I would gladly hold off importing etc.

But I have got tired of holding back on titles I want on Blu, so I just import now if an older title I want is available on Blu.

I agree ! The film is really good, James Spader always pulls of playing a prick really well and his performance in this is really good.
I wish the film was with another label because even if Mill Creek were to release it we would get no special features. I would love to see an interview with Lori Loughlin talking about the movie, that would be so awesome !

I really don't understand why so many 80's movies have a foreign Blu-ray release and the North American market gets ignored ? It baffles me.

Unless MVD tell me they are releasing it, I may just import the German edition.
I'm decently impressed with the quality of the films. I never thought I would get to see these looking as good as they do now; it's worth the upgrade.

Most of these Spanish releases are region free, because they're boots.

I'm looking forward to Went to Coney Island as a first time watch; love the story, cast, and director. I preordered from Diabolik, so hopefully it's shipping soon. Has anyone seen it?

Bram Stoker's Shadowbuilder (1998) getting a release from MVD Rewind on 8/28/18

Quote:
A demon is summoned to take the soul of a young boy, who has the potential to become a saint. If the demon succeeds, it will open a doorway to Hell, blazing a terrifying trail of destruction, possession and mayhem and destroy humanity. Now the fate of the world hinges on the final outcome of a renegade priest's battle with the soul eating SHADOWBUILDER.

From the mind of the master, Bram Stoker, the creator of "Dracula" comes the epic struggle between good and evil in SHADOWBUILDER, featuring an all-star cast that includes Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), Leslie Hope (Crimson Peak), Kevin Zegers (Dawn of the Dead) and Tony Todd (Candyman).

Great news, but where did you hear this? It seems like the MVD guy was embarrassed this was leaked, according to his FB post. Still, it's an awesome film and goes great with the eclectic selection of great titles they've procured so far...

Look at the link I posted under the poster. It's directly from MVD's site. I didn't think it was a big deal to mention this, as it was on a publicly available site, their own in fact. I figured an official announcement was right around the corner.

Yeah, no problem here. Glad someone mentioned it. I just wondered how I missed the announcement.

Glad I didn't grab the DVD for $10 at a BuyBacks store a couple weeks ago. I'll grab this Blu-ray release though.

Glad you mentioned this. I pre-ordered Return of Swampy a few weeks ago but realized I hadn't grabbed Abominable, the current price of $23 seems about perfect for a blind buy for it.
