Seeing that the steelbook release is only two cases with two movies each inside made me feel better about getting the regular 'booklet' release.

Dang, you must really dislike JP3 and JW to not even include them in the count!

Went into Best Buy to get the steelbook release. Of course they had 0 stock, so I ended up with the booklet release. Pulled out the discs, and they already have small scratches on them. Guess I'll be transferring these to cases.

That's not right. There are 4 movies total so there has to be 4 in each. Not to mention the bonus discs.

2 steelbooks, 4 discs inside each, 1 containing all 4 non-stacked 4K discs, and 1 containing non-stacked Blu-ray discs.

Got my Digibook today. JP3 UHD has a few scratches but most of them cleaned off easily. It should still play fine? I own many Digibooks and Digipacks Blu-rays and I've never had a problem with scratched discs not playing.

I don't own a 4K set up yet anyway, so even if the disc does have problem surely there will be a cheap solo release of the movie in the future.

I didn't actually open it. Just looked at it in the store. There's only two steelbooks. So whether they did all four UHDs in the first and then the four BDs in the second, or two movies (both formats) in each, I'm not sure.

However, there's not one steelbook per movie.

Got the cardboard box 4K set and lucked out, no scratched discs. Taking no chances, I've put the 4K discs in a 4 disc replacement UHD case to protect them. It may be a stackable case, but I think my chances will be much better with that than sliding in and out of a cardboard sleeve. Created a custom cover art for the case and I'm happy with the results. Will keep the blu-rays in the cardboard case as I'll probably never bother looking at them. I already own the original blu-ray releases anyway. Will kick back and watch the first one this afternoon.

Should have put slots for the next two films . I love that they at least did the one slot for the Bond 50 set years ago.

One steelbook for 4K discs, one steelbook for standard Blu-ray discs.

There isn’t a different case for each movie in the booklet either...

Wow that French slipbox with individual cases looks lovely. It's a shame that isn't what's being released everywhere.

Question

Some questions regarding the 4K download versions:
1.) Can anyone elaborate how they compare to the UHD-Discs (vidieo data rate / effective image quality)
2.) Are these also included in the European UHD releases (e.g. Germany)?
3.) Is there a way to buy the download versions only? (wondering as I don't have a UHD player and I am basically only interested in "upgrading" JP2 & JP3... the JP1 3D-BD is sufficient to me, as well as the JP4 BD.)

Any reply would be highly appreciated.

Got my BB steelbook set today! Preordered for in store pickup and no issues. I saw no other steelbooks on the shelf and also no Matrix 4k, just regular JP 4k set.

I usually don’t go for steelbooks but I couldn’t bypass these. I’ll probably put my JW:FK 4k disc in the second steelbook and toss JPIII Blu-ray. Probably do the same for part 3.

Side note, I’ve been following this site for years but this is my first official forum post!

Very nice! I wish Universal would do this in North America, instead of the cardboard releases.
