Sounds like something for the QUESTIONS thread. Sony used the clear cases back when they cared about releasing 3D Blu-rays. More generally, you can always look at pictures on ebay but surely if you are ordering replacement cases you already have an exising case which you are replacing?

To start off the animated Halloween season we’re just going to watch Paranorman.

black rental case, see post 22467 and 22504. all the artwork were included so I need those blue case but some are bigger than usual. maybe I should measure the artwork's width to have an idea. there's 11mm, 12.5mm and 15mm case.

That’s about right… watched Paranorman again but to be honest I found that 80% of the 3D was pretty flat and the movie was still slightly annoying?, to many “Urgh and Arghh “ throughout for my liking. There are some clever moments in the movie though so not all doom and gloom!.

That’s why I recommended Monster House. I guarantee a better 3D experience.

I think I’ll start my Halloween watch with everybody’s traditional favorite, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer! ( May or may not be historically accurate.)

Hi Okie,

Years ago when I was just getting into 3D I hesitated purchasing it simply because the title itself seemed so preposterous. But because of my love for 3D I finally did and boy was I wrong. While not exactly historically accurate, it was clever usage of basic historical events to create an unusual and obviously off beat premise. And it worked because it was well thought-out and executed.

Again just watched In the Heart of the Sea.

A great story filmed in meticulous 3D. And an example of how 3D can simply enhance the viewing pleasure of any good movie. 3D is a production art form just as the proper shading of black and white, color saturation, set design, etc. It does not need to be gimmicky to add to viewing realism

Would have liked this film anyway but not nearly as much had it not been in 3D.

Very eloquent. I heartily agree. You may not remember, but you convinced me to buy it a couple of years ago, when I was still a novice.

Hi Okie,
