Solutions are a new battery technology for storage and solar panels that last all day. Both possibilities are slim so.........

Solar panels do "last all day." They just don't perform their function at night. They actually last for many years.

With all of the wondrous advancements in technology that have occurred just in our life times, you can not envision improved batteries? You have no vision.

They are said to last 15-20 years these days.

Batteries? Their capacity would have to increase quite a lot to be viable.

Nope.

The systems would have to be more efficient like VR or watching on a phone.

Sucks but you got to burn that bridge when you come to it.

My iPad would charge enough to watch a movie at night if not several.

How would you watch? VR and mobile would both require Wi-Fi like I said before.

The only utility outage that I deal with with any frequency are sustained internet service outages.

In more interesting news, at least to me, I noticed that I may have set a disc buying record this month. I have bought 61 titles so far and we still have 10 days to go.

If buying movies doesn't solve the problem, at least it's still fun to buy movies.

More interesting than the very future of our passion? I think not!

But very well done!

Its better if you shop in essential stores that have stock and buy there then ordering though the mail. That way your helping the industry and local stores.

I stopped into Newbury Comics and didn't see anything I wanted.

Don't think they are essential because they only just re-opened.

I was all set to buy some at Walmart when they ran out of a few titles I wanted.

Buying on EBay problably doesn't support the right types of things but Monsters University UHD BD for $9.99? .. I think Ebay's going to be a place I buy more often.

Target is usually opened. They also have a 15% off on a lot of BD/4K's

It's just no where near me. I shop at Target when I can.

"Essential stores" near me stock little more than beer and cheesy poofs.

In order to obtain the diverse selection of titles that I wanted, ordering online was required. It was safer, too, as my computer can't infect me like other store shoppers could. Safety AND selection first.

Lastly, whether I bought my movies from a Walmart store or from Walmart.com makes no difference; the money all went to the same company.

My passions are all doing just fine. I have the option to power my home theater by using an exercise bike. It ensures that I am entertained and that I keep my svelte 32" waistline both.

I believe the shrinks have a name for that . That is some serious researching and data gathering, congrats on your purchase.

Me, been doing lots of research on double conversion UPS's. I have my projector on a UPS but it is the break type (much cheaper) meaning a few msec to switch from line to battery power. With a momentary power outage my projector switched off with no cool down. Should not have this problem with a double conversion UP.

I think you should go for a nice round number, like 100.
The economy needs you.

Boy Vilya, you're really keeping the Disc Market afloat. That's easily from $1000 to $1500 depending if they are BD or 4K. Some people don't pay that for a 4K TV or 4K Player! That 5% UHD 4K sales is all you!

It's both an honor and my duty.

As for the spending, there have been some really great sales this month. I've made out like a bandit.

A noble plan! One that would cause my family to not only admire my commitment, but one that would lead them to having me committed.
