Hopefully it crosses the ocean without any damage, unlike the No Time to Die box.

The Underworld Boxset arrived in excellent condition, but I ordered that somewhere else.

I guess when you pre-ordered it could factor in, and/or whether you have a US Prime membership.

I pre-ordered it back on 1/1, and received a "Delivery Estimate" email on 1/16 showing release day delivery for the order. It shipped yesterday, and is due to arrive tomorrow.

Also it seems like whenever I pre-order from Amazon UK lately, they really take their time shipping out from there too. Overseas deliveries might just get put on the backburner sometimes now.

Ugh. Ok, fine. We'll forget that happened. Then she called Stantz and it was such an odd detour at that point in the movie.

Then we revisit the final act of the first movie.

But, when the OG cast just came waltzing up out of nowhere at the end, the whole thing felt like something where they said "OK, we got 'em for 2 hours! Let's make this quick!" I felt like they hijacked a movie that was doing just fine on it's own. Not to mention the laziness of revisiting old lines for easy laughs. I would have preferred they stuck them in post credits sequences (not that I thought those were super great, either).

I did not mind it as much on the second viewing, though, so I guess being prepared helps. And the new cast is so great, especially McKenna Grace and Carrie Coon. All of that combined with the amazing presentation at home made all of my identified missteps the first time less of a dissatisfier.

But, the final shot of the movie is of Winston driving the Ecto-1 back to New York, which also was not great for a movie that was all about these KIDS being Ghostbusters. Not only did they try to steal the movie, but they stole the car! Why does Winston get the car? And then the post credits sequence is Winston bringing the car into the firehouse - the same firehouse that I could have sworn Ray said was turned into a Starbucks?

I had a bigger problem with the movie it ignoring the very great story and script of ghostbusters the video game ignoring that felt wrong considering it was the last ghostbusters thing written by Harold ramis and dan aykroyd.

For anyone waiting for info on the U.K. disc content, I can confirm everything is present and accounted for. I’ve just been through the 6 discs for GB1&2 and everything listed in the US announcement is there including original audio on both formats and the new commentaries we missed out on in the 35th anniversary release.

As for A/V, I don’t have Dolby Vision so can’t comment on that. I’m going to compare the “new” 4K to the first 4K release later and see if there’s any difference.
The theatrical 2.0 audio sounds great to me and it’s fab to have it. I’d love to know if there are any particular spots in either film where the original audio is noticeably different to any of the later multichannel remixes?
There really is literally nothing else content wise I can think of that could be included (that includes the reprinted book). I think Ghostbusters fans should be very happy with what’s here.

I agree with spoiler tags for Afterlife in this thread since it is not that film's/disc discussion, even though this thread has become the defacto discussion for the whole set.

I have not ventured into the Afterlife thread to minimize spoilers but of the few I have encountered it really has not been a big deal.

Now in a few months to within the year I personally feel that the spoiler tag statue for Afterlife will have reached its expiration date and all should go hog wild with open discussion. YMMV.

Methinks my set will be arriving later in the week, so I will continue to read folks impressions on the set.

Got my Ultimate set in, looks pretty nice. BB used a box with plenty of air cushions. I'll have to wait until at least tonight to watch Afterlife since my wife wants to see it too but might spin up some of the other stuff today like the new special features. Maybe I'll even be brave and watch GB2, I haven't seen it since the theater since it gave me nightmares as a kid.

Digital copy is 4 codes on one sheet instead of one code for everything for those wondering.
