I actually thought you did that on purpose. Considering what you said, it worked out perfectly.

Well, my Alien Anthology set is coming from Roswell Georgia which is directly below Knoxville. According to Google maps, it is 170 miles from there to my address, but I finally got some tracking info, and it has departed from Memphis which is hundreds of miles west of either the original location or my destination. Google maps says that it will be 800 miles for the complete trip. What the hell? That seems like an awful waste of time and gas to haul it hundreds of miles west and then hundreds of miles back east.

If they shipped it FedEx most all packages go thru Memphis. Hell if you had asked I could have picked it up and drove it to you.

I ordered mine last Wednesday, so I'm hoping to get it Monday, but we'll see. It does show that it departed Memphis last night at 10:30pm, so it's possible.

As far as the Star Wars set, I think you're going to love it, but I am a huge Star Wars nerd. The audio on Episodes I and II are some of the best ever. The pod race in Ep.I is one of the most immersive three-dimensional sounding blu-ray experiences I've ever had. Episode III is good, but not on par with the first two, and IV-VI sound really great too, especially considering how old they are.

I actually did some research on why the first two sound so much better, and found out that Gary Rydstrom worked on them, but not on the third. In various audio capacities, he has worked on:

[Show spoiler]Indiana Jones Temple of Doom
Terminator 1 & 2
Jurrassic Park 1 & 2
Toy Story 1 & 2
Titanic
Saving Private Ryan
A Bug's Life
Star Wars Ep. 1 & 2
X-Men
Monsters, Inc.
Finding Nemo
Super 8

And dozens of others. He has been nominated for 16 Academy Awards and won 7. Basically, I'm just saying this guy is pretty much King Bad-Ass of audio.

It's actually coming by USPS and from my experience their tracking is the least reliable of them all, but Fedex and UPS always have trouble finding my house because I'm way off the main road, as my driveway is about 1/4 mile long, and USPS just puts it in my mailbox, so I know I won't get skipped if I'm at work.

Thanks for the offer Al, but you work too hard and I wouldn't want to interrupt your weekend relaxation time.

I looked that stuff up last year after watching all of the SW movies. I'm excited to get my Aliens set, but I'm excited for you getting your sets too, especially since you said you haven't seen the new SW movies. I like them all, but some people complain that the newer ones don't have as strong of a story as the old ones, and I kind of agree to a certain extent, but I still really like the new ones, and they are very fast paced and action packed with lots of cool special effects and amazing audio.

It's movie time at the Frogpad. I have no idea what I'm going to watch, I'm just going to see what looks appealing when I get in there. Check you guys later.
