Their email isn't working AGAIN?!? I had heard they had that sorted out. I know how you're feeling, the inability to communicate with them is a real pain in the rear. I finally had to make a Facebook account just to get the $10 they charged me for "International Shipping" refunded, as I am a resident of the U.S.

I'm wondering if you burn the bonus disc onto your computer (I believe copyright law allows you to maintain a backup copy for your own personal use) if you'd be able to watch it from there without the skipped chapters? I guess that would be better than nothing. Check the legality of it first, as I'm not positive some rotten anti-consumer law like the DMCA didn't take your right to own a backup copy for yourself away.

Wish I would have read this before asking if you had tried it -- sorry about that. Have you attempted the tried and true netflix-recommended method of washing the disc with dish soap (the grease-busting kind, like Dawn or Ajax) so that the soap will temporarily fill the scratch, making the disc playable?

If you combine what is in the actual doc and on the bonus disc, I think that the FvJ coverage is more than sufficient. But for those who didn't get the bonus disc and never bought or cared to watch NSA, it really did get shafted.

The last I heard from them, the next batch was going out on the 26th.

Finally finished the entire documentary. Watched it across 3 days with my girlfriend. I haven't watched the bonus disc yet though, which did arrive with my set. We both enjoyed it very much. Very well produced. Very slick, and tons of clips, not only from the entire series of films, but from many other films outside the series as well. You can tell the creators truly have a love for this series. Each film gets plenty of time to tell its story, and each segment had loads of interviews from an impressive number of people from the films. I thought the narration was excellent, also, and the ending was a cool touch, with many of the original cast members doing some of their more memorable lines. Overall a blast beginning to end, and I love how you can select each film as its own chapter to view - makes it real easy to tackle a few at a time.

Also a note - the bonus DVD arrived in a simple paper sleeve, and didn't have a single scratch on it. Not to rekindle the scratching debate from the Friday box set but I truly believe that the extra-tight heavy cardboard sleeves are responsible for the scuffing in that set, since the DVD here didn't have a mark on it and it was in a paper sleeve. Thought I'd mention that for those that were worried about it arriving in a sleeve. I'll be keeping it in it's own case going forward though. I can definitely imagine watching this again at some point. There were a couple people I was surprised didn't appear (my girlfriend mentioned the lack of "Demon" from part 5), but I'm sure they tried to get everybody they possibly could.

The Crystal Lake Memories Facebook page just posted this a few hours ago. Looks like more orders will ship for sure on the 26th...

"Most people who complain about not receiving a confirmation email usually end up finding it after the fact in their spam folder. Look out for emails from CAVD.com and/or stamps.com. Once your order ships, the confirmation email is automatically generated and sent to the email address you provided with your order. Back orders will start shipping on the 26th."

I think I'm the only one that's having this issue, but I'll go ahead and comment just in case someone else has the same issue. My order shipped on the 16th and I still haven't received it. It was stuck in the last location ever since the 20th. No updates. Maybe someone stole it...I don't know.

I've emailed CLM numerous times and they won't refund my money...I'm basically out $32. Amazon would never do this. I've been refunded by them numerous times without question.

So I called CAV distributing today and finally I might see some light. The rep there said they don't deal with the billing side of things, just shipping. So he will ship out another copy for me at no cost. That sounds fair.

Also, I placed another order 2 days ago out of frustration. So now I have 2 copies of this thing coming, with bonus discs. So I guess I'll sell one of them.

Stuck in the last location since the 20th? That's just typical USPS for you. You'll get it. I had stuff stuck in the system for over a month before, then it just popped up.

Amazon refunds you, no questions asked, because they're a multi-billion dollar company. $30 is nothing to them.

Just finished watching this and it was a blast ! As expected there wasn't alot of new information but it's great to see my fave film series treated with such respect. The best segment was actually on the remake as there were lots of stories I hadn't heard before, this is one segment that should have been longer.
Next up, the bonus disc !

No, I don't remember which were shown in HNWJ but a lot of these were new to me, it was mostly shots of the crew and the 3D cameras, Jason make-up, a few of the cast, one or two from the first day of filming that was scraped (Shelly is wearing glasses) and a pic of Dana Kimmell getting her make-up done.

I really enjoy how the doc is set up as well. I've watched the first 3 chapters so far and have enjoyed every minute. This is a must own for fans.
