No, it's not.
Because he is spreading lies (in the wrong thread), unless he can back it up.
Also, it is well established that you are a prequel hater, so why would you care about the truth?!?

Well, I re-watched the appropriate sections, and there was no mention of it, so you are just creating mistrust, again, unless you can back it up.
It's also in the wrong thread.
Why is it that the prequel haters can freely post nonsense about the prequels in TFA threads without problems, yet when we post something positive about the prequels, or just mention them in any TFA thread, we get banned? That's biased.
My avatar is irrelevant when it comes to the truth. Even you should understand this.

Cheers

I don't think you will
[Show spoiler], unless they make a special edition version where Han doesn't shoot first again.

The Stormtrooper with the energy staff put up a good fight there. That weapon is probably made to cut through things like a light saber, but also useful in case a light saber ever shows up in a battle.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but agree there were too many recycled moments. (I kept thinking, "Please don't do a total STID...")

I wish they could have picked fewer, more pivotal moments to echo the previous films. (I thought Kylo & Han's confrontation worked.)

I really liked Rey, though her journey seemed a little rushed to me (Maz and her Dagobah-cave-basement really felt like a cheat). I liked that she learned (or was Awakened) from Kylo's attempts to use the Force against her (oops).

Then in the climactic lightsaber duel Kylo mentions the Force again, and Rey is like, "Oh yeah, let me close my eyes for a minute and become really good at it." Of course we want her to prevail, but if she is suddenly amazing at the Force, it seems too easy. (Luke spends half of SW not knowing what's going on--though Finn provided that to a certain extent.)

But I really liked the new cast, and remain optimistic about VIII (and ROGUE ONE!). Hopefully Mason Verger--I mean Thanos--I mean Snape--I mean Snoke gets better realized, too.

I like it, too, but it did realize my biggest fear in invalidating all the character arcs of the original trilogy except for Darth Vader.

Ultimately, it's got a lot of style, but I think it struggles to say anything- which was a criticism all the other movies, too, I guess.

But...

[Show spoiler]While I think the confrontation between Han and Kylo Ren was well-acted and I liked how the whole thing was executed, it was a pretty cheap way of raising the stakes for this movie. And the only message you can take from it is that you can start out as a mercenary and then slowly become involved and a good person and your son will still turn into an emo d*$&$@bag and kill you. I kinda thought of JJ before: 'You don't get to re-enact the classic death scene from Wrath of Khan to legitimize your knock-off movie, Star Trek Into Darkness,' and now I kinda think 'No, you don't get to kill Han Solo to try to legitimize your knock-off Star Wars movie.'

Overall, I'm feeling more ambivalent about it now, even though I loved it after first viewing.

There were things like that in the prequel trilogy only mounted on quarterstaves, it can withstand a lightsaber because it has a strong magnetic field so there is no contact between the saber blade and the weapon itself but it isn't a cutting weapon, more like a taser or something.

Wouldn't surprise me if we get more appraisals like that once the initial sugar rush has worn off. Although, ironically enough, I may end up enjoying it more for what it is second time around because I've already had the catharsis of reeling off my complaints.

Now the fact that he seduced Kylo (and the rest of the Knights of Ren?) to the dark side while he was (probably) still very young, and all his soldiers are kidnapped as children just took on a whole new meaning.

This movie has managed to do an amazing job of getting everything down to Star Wars nose clippers and toilet paper released, but somehow not the one damn Star Wars product I want. It's like a demented cosmic joke.

These aren't from The Force Awakens, but I've always really liked these two:

I really want to read the novelization for this because of how much more information it has. Problem is, I can't find the damn thing anywhere!

The printed edition will be released on January 5th. Barnes & Noble will have some sort of exclusive edition.

How you can watch that documentary and not see that his priority was changing cinema again using digital effects is beyond me. You not seeing that doesn't make me a liar.
