Congratulations on those SIX new subs! Your home theater will produce more bone rattling bass than the launch of a Saturn V rocket!

Are you sure you wouldn't be better off with a simple soundbar or maybe even wireless headphones with simulated surround?

Seriously, though, enjoy your new half dozen subwoofies; I'd love to watch, and listen, to movies at your place!

I've had no success inviting myself to Wendell's house, but now I try can try my luck with you!

. I only have two HSU VTF-15H MK2 subs and have them own semi dedicated 20 amp circuit. Have the equipment rack own a dedicated 30 amp circuit. Wish I had room for more subs to smooth the response but will have to make do with what I have. Some visitors have asked if I have “Bass Shakers” (here) installed in my seating (I do not).

In case anyone wants to spruce up their home theater or media room have a look at HT Market (here). Bought my Palliser chairs and sofa from them in 2011. They have a selection of items that can not be found at most outlets.

Bass shakers are certainly not required nor allowed here. I looked at a bunch of subs including the HSU, but was blown away by the speed and pure attack of the RELs. I heard a demo with a six pack of their 10” drivers at Music For Pleasure here in town, and have never heard bass like that in my life. I have enjoyed my subs, but was looking for a more transient effect.

I think his house would disintegrate if it was really close to that blasting off.

One of the loudest sounds ever recorded was NASA's Saturn V rocket, which registered 204 decibels. However, sound doesn't just have the potential to damage our hearing: powerful sound waves can cause damage to physical structures, including the very rocket producing the deafening sound

It has been quite a surreal couple of days for certain content that have been temporarily taken down from streaming services. Having a disclaimer notice at their beginning to fully explain the context to a new audience is the right to do under the circumstances. Blu-rays & DVDs of this content have exploded in popularity by being sold online. That is quite remarkable to see because it strengthens the hold among the public's mind by allowing it to flourish under a veil of great uncertainty. It also tells us that people somehow want to find some balance of security in their lives with knowing that holding something of great permanence is the only way to go for them to truly enjoy it from beginning to end.

Let's get something straight, if you have the Movie in your Collection nothing has been taken down. My Gone with the Wind is still in Amazon Prime, MA, and Vudu. Movies on a Server are like being on a Disc, they are not going anywhere. You should be more concerned with PS5 Digital, and PS5 with 4K Disc has no HDR or DV.

Stop making sh*t up! You constantly spread deliberate falsehoods.

Sony has not released the full specs for the 4K disc drive included with the PS5. As their 4K disc players support both HDR10 and Dolby Vision there is simply no reason to believe that these won't be supported on the PS5. I am not aware of a single 4K disc player that does not support HDR and it makes no sense whatsoever that the Sony Playstation 5 would be the first 4K disc player ever made without such support. It is batsh*t to even suggest that they would omit HDR and Dolby Vision support.

"The PS5 with Blu-ray Disc drive plays up to 100GB UHD BDs, supports 4k at 120Hz and 8k TVs (60Hz), and variable refresh rate (VRR). We’re still waiting on HDR (Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and audio specs)."

Article date June 11, 2020:

Anything can be removed from a server and you have no say about it when the studios or streaming services do so.

Gone With The Wind was only pulled from the subscription streaming service HBO Max, which more than proves that content can be removed from a server.

The movie will return to HBO Max once they have added "historical context discussion." Warner Bros. could also remove it from all digital providers if they so choose in order to do the same thing. With digital distribution, the studios can easily remove or modify their content all they want whenever they want.

The point is, in the future a film you really like the look of may be taken down if the self appointed Twitter snowflakes don’t like it’s content. Your window for buying might be a few days.

As for PS5, it’s a massive plus. We have a disc player that will last well into the next decade. Millions of people will have access to UHD, Blu-ray, DVD and streaming services. When the chips are down, people turn to disc.

I posted about this type of stuff years ago and was told I was being paranoid. I think not.

Hey, hope you are holding up in what must be an exceptionally difficult time for you. Your mind will ease over time, I have been there.

The Target B2G1 didn’t have as many big titles qualify for the promo this round. War of the Worlds and Jaws were nowhere to be found as an example. I did pick up Top Gun, Parasite, and Leon:The Professional for $40 which is still a good way to start a Sunday.

Where's the direct link to the sale?

How many times must I remind people about my laziness?

Congratulations on your finds; they may not be many, but those are all great choices.

You were the first to warn us that stuff could be removed from subscription streaming services? You really are a gifted oracle.

Would you mind picking my next batch of lottery numbers? Oh, wait, you only predict bad outcomes; never mind.

I’m not saying I was the first. I certainly warned of it on a constant basis. Don’t tell me you hsve forgot? Is your attention span slipping?

But seriously, I did say that film would become trial by social media and be shaped by snowflakes. That’s what is happening. Of course, the nature of humans means no one will be coming here saying “yeah, you were right” They will claim it was obvious it would happen despite arguing the facts years ago. It’s the Steedeel way. I make a correct prediction, people pretend they knew it all along or outright refuse to admit I was right and they were wrong. Strange that! They have plenty to say at the time.

HDR support is mandatory by the BDA for all UHD Blu-ray players. DV, 10+ and HLG are optional. Just shows how clueless that poster is and that is putting it nicely.

It's hard to be so underappreciated, I know. All of my efforts, and those of many others, to educate a certain someone have been met with a similar lack of gratitude.

We should take a just the same.

Very good, warned even!

Not paid but I have been offered to write some articles for certain websites and publications. One of which will be well known on here.
