The CW's "The Vampire Diaries" (Season 8)

Well what do you know, two big story arcs discussed that we fans here have actually been talking a lot about over the past few weeks. I'm excited.

Question: Are we ever going to see more of Vampire Diaries‘ werewolf, Tyler? He’s been surprisingly absent since that foreboding full moon. —Marz
Ausiello: “I think it is more interesting to keep [his inner werewolf] hidden or suppressed,” says exec producer Kevin Williamson, “and instead play out his aggression and daddy issues and things that are associated with a wolf without making him a wolf.” The werewolf card will eventually be played because “wherever there are vampires, there are usually wolves nearby,” notes Williamson. “My biggest concern is what the weekly special effect is going to look like. That takes careful preparation and a lot of money and some testing. We’re working on it now to figure out what we can do that won’t just look stupid. And they have to still be sexy — because, let’s face it, we cast these beautiful people for a reason.”

Ausiello: Ian Somerhalder predicts that Team Damon will experience a surge in popularity as the season winds down. “I think we are going to find out more about Stefan that might make fans switch teams,” he says. “He isn’t all goodie-two-shoes hero-boy.”

[Show spoiler]Stefan is a lot more like his brother than people think, he actually loses control more than once in the books. In one of them he becomes furious at Damon and eats 6 people but still isn't strong enough to take him down. Guess they made the strength difference less severe on the show. Don't remember reading about vervain either.

Wow, it'd be nice if he'd Vamp out now and again, he's too much of a wimp and it keeps reminding me of Vampire Bill Compton, or those sparklers from the Twilight stuff, lol.

Yeah whereas I like Damon more. He may brood, but he also beds the cougars and kills whoever he wants, as you said with Stefan being emo, I keep waiting for him to reveal his poetry journal and show us his razor blade suitcase, lol.

I can't see Stefan doing something as evil as Damon which is why I'm more interested to find out on what he's actually going to do.

Damon actually seems at least as infatuated with Katherine as Stefan is with Elena and I think that will factor heavily into how the events of the rest of the season unfold.

Well all I can say is it is about damned time that Stefan finally vamp out. I knew after he tasted the sweet nector of the delicious little vixen that is Elena Gilbert, he was gonna stop there. And where do we find him at episodes end? Chowing down on some of Damon's stock of Soccer mom. Poor Anna was totally dogged by Jeremy, she ain't gonna turn him now when all he wanted was to be with Vicki. Speaking of Jeremy how much time was supposed to have passed since the beginning of the series till now, cause Jeremy went from having short spiked hair to real long emo over the course of 16 episodes.

As you can see here....HUGE difference over 16 episodes

Next week's preview showcased Tyler beating down Matt with another full moon being showcased, so it looks like they are definitely going to start developing that werewolf angle for season 2, and my god they cut to a scene of Elena rockin some seriously perfect cleavage. mmmmmmmmmmm cleavage.

Hey guys, I didn't get to see the 1st 15minutes of tonight's episode so I'm kinda in the dark. What was Stefan doing on the floor as Damon walked in on him at the end? And what did he say to him? Kids were yelling & I don't have TIVO

Stefan went out in the woods hunting and the other vamps took him cause they wanted retribution for being locked in the tomb all those years. But before he went out hunting, Damon told him he had a stash of Soccer Mom's blood in the fridge, and those where the blood packs Stefan was feeding off of when Damon found him. Elena's blood made him lose his control after fighting to not feed on humans, he now can no longer fight the urge and is going to be looking for man bait I don't think he said much it was more of a surprised wow, you're drinking human blood again kind of look.

Vampire Diaries is actually better now than I thought it would be, which is surprising.

[Show spoiler]I couldn't believe Elena did that for Stefan, you never know if exposing a scavenger vampire to human blood will make them lose control completely.

As soon as Stefan was injured I knew Elena was going to feed him. Wonder what Anna is going to do now that Jeremy has broken her non-beating heart.

I love Damon, lol. He just kills for no other reason than he's a vampire. FINALLY a show that hasn't castrated it's vampires to all play nice and love everybody. I laughed when Elena said to Stefan "What happened? It's like you where another person" it's like, oh sweetheart you're so pretty but oh so dumb, vampires aren't people, they're vampires. And while all men would want to eat you, your boyfriend would actually eat you.

LOL Stefan may actually eat her at some point, depends on how far away from the books they're willing to go. I do hope they don't make Elena a vampire, that would be very weak in my opinion.

And in mine. We have enough vamps, no reason for Elena or Jeremy to be turned, at this point in the story especially.
