I did the exchange program, only took one week, amazing. New disc looks 10 times better than original. Much better color, good saturation, sharper rez, audio is even better overall glad I did the mail in program. Paramount has got my vote. They also did Saving Private Ryan very fast. I trust them and glad Gladiator was so quick!

Not yet. Still hoping that it'll come today although I've personally never seen Fed Ex run on a Saturday.

Nevermind, I was mistaken. FedEx Ground runs Monday-Friday. I was thinking of FedEx Home Delivery that runs Tuesday-Saturday. Sorry for any confusion and false hope.

Who knows the difference?

FedEX dropped off my replacement disc yesterday (I live in Dallas) and the movie looks so much better!!

Mine came Friday. As I posted earlier, it looks great. Disc label looks the same.

Today I went to BB with my old copy, told them I want to exchange, showed them my Rewards card and 5 minutes later I walked out with the new version.

That simple!

Dammit, I sent mine in July 31st and still have not received my replacement.

I probably should have traded it in at Best Buy, oh well.

I'm with ya. I sent it in on the same date and I have not received mine either. I'm in Illinois.

Now I have a ton of content to go through while waiting for the replacement to arrive, but damn how hard is it to put a replacement Blu-ray in a mailer and send it out?

Why does it seem like they are sending out the discs to the people that sent their discs in more recently as opposed to those who sent them early? Paramount is continuing to really frustrate me. At least I'm not the only one here.

I've been following ALL of the Gladiator posts closely. From what I've read, it's a crap-shoot. You order from Amazon, you may get the remastered, you may not.

In the interest of avoiding headache and hassle, you might be better off buying in a store as long as the packaging meets the aforementioned qualifications of the remastered version.

Went to best buy, looked at the slip and did not see the "2 disc" above the Paramount logo. But underneath it was there!

I should have read this WHOLE thread first. I'll go back when they have the new version.
