It's just insanely frustrating to be a collector now, and there is this handful of studio pictures that got a release 10+ years ago and now they're unavailable. The titles I mentioned in the list above are from various studios - they got Twilight Time releases 10+ years ago and are now unobtainable. You can't blame that entirely on Fox. The common denominator is TT. I understand he didn't mean to create this black hole years later, but that is what's happened.

Maybe not some other TT titles but you can blame Disney on Sexy Beast not getting a new BD/UHD in the USA 100%. They never license catalog out pretty sure Arrow, KL, Shout would love to do a UHD for Sexy Beast.

I already have the TT BD but I decided to check it out and same here. It's blocking me. I am in the USA to so they must not want any business from USA customers.

There are many, many titles that are now OOP that came from other labels as well.

I believe the UK discs only have the film in 1.78:1

I am not sure which of the 2 aspect ratios on the US disc is actually correct.

I’m aware. The aspect ratio has nothing to do with me not being able to follow the link.

It's frustrating as hell they won't license some of the Fox catalog out to boutique labels and even their own catalog. Makes you wonder if they do it on purpose because they can make money licensing these titles out to boutique labels and it seems they don't want to be bothered with it. Just content with leaving money on the table on films they will never release physically on their own.

Link works for me checking site from Spain and item is in stock.

The blu-ray scalpers are the only ones mourning their absence.

Yeah, you're right, it works when I set it to Spain. So the US is straight blocked, Canada and UK get "Oh crumbs!" and Spain actually has it. Strange site.

It's more or less a pawn shop, from my understanding.

Again, I feel like this is a weird level of hostility. And, again, the guy literally died.

The eclectic titles they selected for release, their emphasis on isolated score tracks, their insightful commentary tracks, their generally respectful presentations... they were good. Sorry to hear you overpaid for a copy of The Blob on the secondary market though.

I don't think it's an evil plot.

I've always said, I think the solution is a lot simpler.

Disney's business affairs department has a finite number of lawyers who work a finite number of hours. Disney corporate clearly made the decision that those lawyers' time is better spent on bigger deals than home video licensing contracts that won't pass some threshold of income. It's all about profit vs expense for a big publicly-traded company like that.

CeX seems fine if I change my VPN to USA https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=6867445001399

Still 10 in stock (one has sold since I looked yesterday).

Mind that's UK only.
