I may be wrong, hope so. It looks very 'TV episodic', much like The Hammer House of Horrors series in the late 70's / early 80's in the UK. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the "deleted scenes" on the HK release essentially just what was cut out?

When you announce 25 forthcoming Blu-ray releases, I suppose you expect some dates to change, but these are changing quite regularly. In fact, it's getting difficult trying to keep track of when these are coming out, the amount of times they have been changing

Alexander Korda's Mine Own Executioner
Release date - 9/3/2015 http://networkonair.com/shop/2033-mi...626709341.html https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Mine-...lu-ray/107786/ ![]() With compelling, sympathetic performances from double Oscar nominee Burgess Meredith and accomplished Irish actor Kieron Moore, this powerful psychological drama shows the almost super-human demands of a profession that ranks amongst the most challenging. Adapted from his own novel by BAFTA-winning author and screenwriter Nigel Balchin, Mine Own Executioner is presented in a brand-new High Definition transfer from the original film elements. Meredith stars as Felix Milne, a lay psychiatrist in post-War London who is enlisted to treat Adam Lucian, a fighter pilot deeply traumatised by his experiences in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp. Beleaguered by emotional problems of his own, Milne embodies the mixture of dedication, self-distrust and self-criticism that characterises a man with a genuine vocation for the psychiatrist’s work; but is he qualified to treat a patient as disturbed and potentially destructive as Adam? Was looking forward to getting Network's Blu-rays of the films The Ipcress File, The Quiller Memorandum and the Dirk Bogarde film Victim (which still seem to be be being released a week next Monday (28th July), based on Network's website). However, I'm confused by the whole 'lossless audio/lossy audio' topic. Is it a good thing for Blu-ray releases? My knowledge on this topic (the topic of 'lossless audio/lossy audio') is sketchy.

Happily, both Ipcress and Quiller are confirmed with lossless soundtracks.

I do prefer lossless myself. I found on both the Shooter and Trading Places Blu-rays I had to turn the volume to full to hear them. Although these aren't Network releases
But, unless it would absolutely benefit the film, then on a Blu-ray the picture quality is far more important |

I agree on both parts. My gripe is that, by it's very nature, in order for there to be a lossy track there has to be a recent lossless track which it is derived from that should be available. There isn't much excuse to not include it unless space is an issue. |
