As much as I loved how the artwork looked, I just got an updated Press Release with MUCH worse artwork. It just showed for the Bluray but I'm sure it'll be for each. Can't seem to upload it here but when someone does, you will be disappointed lol

Oh I like that. The colorful comic book explosion-looking one was nice but didn't fit the movie well. This one is missing the rest of Section 9 but then so was the movie.

Yep, the last one shown. Hey, if you guys like it, I'm glad. I personally like what we saw before it much better. The colors seemed to pop much more. Paramount has a habit of doing that with their releases though lol Perfectly beautiful artwork just lying around and they choose to go a different route

This was originally going to be the steelbook before they took the illustrated red cover worldwide in I suppose an effort to minimize expenses. It fits better as a Steelbook TBH, or at least the Steelbooks I'd buy.

I liked the flashy cover more than this new cover don't get me wrong, but I feel like since Paramount started pushing the colorful poster right before the movie crashed opening weekend, they probably felt the need to differentiate in order to distance the home video release from the bomb as much as possible. There are certainly worse artworks for this movie and if this is the one we're getting I'm not too mad.

Plus, the visuals were one of the few strong points so it makes sense they'd show off the city on the cover.

My only real issue with the cover is that the skin tones have a blue wash...

Did a quick messy mockup without it and I certainly like it better.

The new cover art is based on the Chinese movie poster, which I actually really like but includes more characters (I actually prefer the similar looking Japanese one though). This cover is okay, would have been better if it was the full cast like the poster.
