If the single movies aren't launched concurrently they will be a few months afterwards I would think.

2021? Seriously? I know physical media is on the slide but a $6-billion-dollar-a-year industry isn't gonna die overnight. Come on, Batesy.

I'd give it 10-15 years. Then maybe 20-30 years from now there'll be a shiny disc resurgence to cater to the wants of the space-hipster demographic.

Some K-Marts and Family Dollars still have blank VHS and audio cassettes on the shelves to this day. I think blu-ray is safe for a little while longer.

I'm well aware, but that's three years from now. Fallen Kingdom comes out in a few months. I can't be bothered to plan that far ahead; three years is a long time and a lot can happen. I could be dead!

I can live with adding JP6 to my collection as a standalone when the time comes. Hell, I may even pick up the hexalogy box set if they do something special with it.

I don't know about that. I think this is the last gasp for physical media, sadly.

But all in all it's getting absolutely ridiculous in the consumer tech industry. They haven't even gotten 4k and HDR right yet and they're moving on... J.H.C!!

Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park are now listed under 4K Ultra HD Movies on Universal's US website. I'm sure Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World will also be listed later today or tomorrow. Not any details yet. Probably more info in a few days.

Just out of curiosity, what website are you seeing this on? I don't see it on their Home Entertainment website, just wondering if there's somewhere else that lists their 4K releases...

Select 4K Ultra HD on Format in Filters.

No details yet for 4K UHD, but that is normal the first few days after it appears under the 4K Ultra HD filter.

Nice! At least it's a start. Hopefully some official announcement will be made soon for all four films and a potential boxed set.

I see the 25th anniversary 4k collection, Blu-Ray collection and the individual movies sold seperately for May 22nd release on Amazon.ca for pre-order, currently for $67.79, $36.89, and $16.62 respectively. I pre-ordered both the collection and individual Jurassic Park for now in case the 2K Blu-Ray happens to be based on the new transfer. Or I’ll cancel it altogether if either the new transfer is an upscale of the existing 2K DI or the new 4K transfer is only on the 4K Blu-Ray which is both plausible because it’s UNIVERSAL.

And not to sound nit picky but any chance we’ll see Dolby Vision on the 4K discs? Something tells me it’ll only be applied on Digital if it does happen. So far from what I’m seeing, Universal catalog titles don’t have it (E.T., King Kong, etc - I lied the Bourne titles do omnimon Digital).

Single releases are regular Blu-rays. No 4K Blu-rays yet.

Thanks for the tip. $67 for the set is a solid price.
