The original standard release rarely uses the original artwork either. You're screwed no matter what.

I buy these for the films and PQ/AQ and extras. The Art is far behind. Mondo/Pop art sucks compared to original art.

Why would I buy an old VHS, just to have original art?

What's so hard to understand about that?

Are you seriously trying to suggest that all these restorations and 4K remasters over the years that have been released with mondo art, shouldn't be bought unless you like the junk art, as this is the priority (for you anyway)?

Maybe you should find another forum. Mondo fan art.com or something. Cinema and discs (blu-ray.com) isn't the right forum for you.

Give me a quality A/V transfer anytime and every time and I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about the cover art, and I appreciate art just as much or maybe more than the next guy!

I want the best technical presentation as well as beautiful cover art. Most collectors want it all.

I do too, believe me. I’ve been at this hobby for 30+ years. Sadly, wanting it all in this case, doesn’t mean you’re gonna get it.
