Halloween II & III Steelbooks - NEW 4K TRANSFERS

I have the complete collection box set which I love, but damn if these steelbooks don't look great.

There's no way I'm buying either of these due to the above, but the covers are so nice and it makes me sad.

I do love the new art, but I wouldn’t have preordered if it had the same transfers. The new 4K transfer is why I ordered, only part 2 though.

I’m going to need some really good reviews before I buy these on Blu-ray again. Otherwise I wait for UHD.

I wonder how the new 4K transfer of Halloween III will compare to the Universal release from 2015. I never bothered to pick it up, but I'm considering it for the upcoming Halloween season. I do like the new art, but I'm just not a fan of steelbooks so, I'm a bit conflicted.

It should be a solid upgrade. The 2015 disc and the original Scream release use the same 2003 master.

Cant wait, I think they moved the release date up a week as well. The original release date was the 23rd but when I checked last week it said October 16th.

The original release date was October 9th, so it's been pushed back a week. Or did they originally push it back two weeks, and now it's just been pushed back a single week?

I'm only interested in Halloween II but haven't pre-ordered it yet. I don't care for steelbooks so I would be satisfied with a regular release. But I don't recall anything being said about such thing. Will it be likely a regular release will be coming shortly?

I don't think they've announced anywhere if regular releases would follow, yet at least. I guess it really depends on just how 'limited' these actually are and how well they sell.

Halloween II has sold out on their direct website (with the litho at least), and it's unusual that they have yet to replace it with a standard listing sans litho.

I don't think I can hold out since I was looking forward in being able to watch this next month along with the upcoming UHD for the first movie.

I am from Europe so I will get one off of eBay. The one I'm after seems to be without the litho but I'm not bothered by that, as I care much more about the movie itself. There are others available on eBay (with the litho) but they are even more expensive for me to import.
