using a ps3. i have the audio hooked up to my receiver through the optical cable. i know the disc uses dts hd-ma, but my receiver converts it to just dts. the ps3 dosen't even support hd-ma yet, but i've never had this kind of problem before with any of my other discs.

reset all your sh*t and see if you still have the problem, if you do try another
disc, then if you do still it's probably the movie

restarted the movie a couple times, tried pausing it, even rewinding/fast forwarding, no luck.

Turn off your receiver and your ps3 then do it over

A bad disc wouldn't cause this

Definately reset all your gear. If that doesn't work, adjust the delay on your reciever

It's surprising how much some people don't notice audio/video sync problems at all. I was once watching The Departed (on an underpowered htpc) with a few other people and the sync was off, nobody was saying anything but it was really bugging me, I had to get up, stop the movie halfway in, and adjust the audio delay. Nobody else in the room noticed anything wrong, the audio was a constant half second off!

Anyways, when I watched another Fox movie, Hitman, PS3 using optical out set to bitstream, most of the time the audio was spot on, but a few scenes it would go out of sync by up to about a half second. I suppose next time I have the PS3 on I'll go back to the one scene I remember it was off by a lot, see if the behavior is the same or not.

I've never had a problem with audio on any disc and I Robot played flawlessly. I have a Sony BDP S1.

I had this problem with Shoot Em Up on the PS3 - I was able to adjust the sync on the receiver to make it more acceptable but it was still slightly off

Default Why is I, Robot so freakin' expensive?!?

I went to best buy the other day to pickup I, Robot and they had it for full retail at 39.99! What the hell?!? Even Amazon, who is usually great about lower blu ray prices sells it for 27.99.

What is so unique about this particular title that it warrants such a higher price? Does anyone know where I can get it 24.99 or less?

Yeah it's just a new release with a lot of hype/buzz about it. Wait a bit, it will drop. I couldn't wait....I paid the $27.99 at amazon.com

Because it's from Fox and has BD+ to pay for?

I Am Legend is really cheap, though. I can't figure that one out.

It's Fox. All of their catalog titles used to be $28 on Amazon, some have now dropped to a more reasonable price level though. And I guess this will aswell, just not for awhile.

I bought it from Costco and kept the price tag so I can buy a cheaper copy and bring it back to Costco in the future. (You probably don't need the price tag, but it can't hurt and it's easy to pull off.)

Edit: $26.99

I didn't want to wait so I did Amazon. If you want it lower than 27.99 you'll have to wait a little.

I got it for 25$ at Futureshop in Canada (it was part of a 2 for 50$ deal)

But just wait for the next amazon sale if you want to buy it cheap...
