Add gift wrapping.

That trick usually works for me.

Never expected the 74 min tv cut to be released. Hopefully the audio isn't too sucky.

I emailed Orbit to see if they will carry this title and set up preorders.

This was their response: "We are still figuring out if we can get copies, we will make a slide on the slideshow on our website to advertise if we will get them. We most likely will not do preorders for it."

Of course this may change, but at the moment Amazon UK may be the best retailer to purchase this edition.

Ugh, why has Orbit taken this hard shift into the land of “no more preorders”? Sorry, as a collector, I can’t risk that.

I ordered a copy from Amazon UK but I'll be glued to Orbit and will jump on it as soon as it comes up. I'll give everyone a heads up like I did with Jaws 2, which is still available BTW.

The Brits get the best stuff lol

With there being a strict set number of copies, it might be difficult to procure enough copies to fulfill preorders. And there’s no telling how many they can secure from their distributor. So I totally understand not putting it up unless you know you can get some and can get enough. And then hope you are actually sent that many you were wanting or hoping for.

That’s a great package, but the outer box cover art is hideous.
Every single bit of artwork for this film is terrible, so at least they're being consistent.

Agreed. I don't think I've seen another film get consistently terrible artwork over its lifespan like this one has.

I seem to recall liking the LaserDisc and older VHS box art

You'd think with Brexit they would want to but all the UK companies have stopped or partially stopped. I don't get it. I know a lot of US companies have stopped too.

The old MCA video artwork there is fine. Even the storyboard booklet cover art is okay. The outer box on this forthcoming deluxe set makes it look like a video game, I guess, and not a film from 1971.

But how is it that they’ve been able to freely offer (even to this day) the similarly limited JAWS 2 yet DUEL is a “oh, man, we might not be able to get many of these in stock” concern?

As far I know the US isn't a member of the EU.

This crap started when Covid did - shopping rates shot up and they've kept them at the same price. Robbing b******s.
