Heath Ledger's version of the Joker was definitely more psychotic. Stane was just a power-hungry businessman, who resented Tony for his skills and decision to stop making weapons.

Stane was great, but he's not who I think about when Iron Man comes to mind.
Its the RDJ show w/ some great moments from Jeff.

(and as for the IM3 Mandarin "reveal", Stane is shown as someone behind the 10 Rings and doesnt seem to be taking orders from Killian....he's a boss and wouldn't be some "henchman" for AIM/Mandarin....I call bullshit)



But when someone types TDK.....the Joker portrayal is unforgettable.

Iron Man pretty much set the table for the MCU and theyve kept the RDJ snarky tone throughout the entire run. Its a blueprint to a degree.

TDK is whole 'nother beast w/ the luxury of having Begins get all the origin shit out of the way.

Stane wipes the floor with Heath Ledger's Joker. It isn't even Joker. It's just some punk in make up thinking he needs to be crazy to get the character. Stane was more nuanced than that. Plus, it's Jeff Bridges. He will always be better than Heath every day of the week and on Sundays

Things ended up working better for both RDJ and the fans.
