Same here to be honest. I did not think the third installment did that well at the box office to get a fourth movie. Especially a wide released 3D IMAX version.

As much as these movies suck at bringing the games to the big screen they are still fun films so i cant wait for the 4th.

Very cool. I have low expectations for the actual movie (due to the last two films ) but the tech should be pretty cool. Unfortunately, I'm guessing that doing the very obvious 3D with cheesy stuff is going to kill the 3D movement.

The Blu-ray should look awesome though.

I agree, she is fine and i am a big fan of hers so I'll brave the theater to see this. If nothing else I bet it'll be funny and mostly when they don't mean for it to be funny!

Be happy with this one. This will be the last Resident Evil movie with Milla, since Sony is aiming for a reboot.

Get Dead Sep. 10th, 2010

Quote:
The French fansite Ultimate Resident Evil has your first look at the teaser poster and a couple of new images for Sony’s upcoming horror sequel “Resident Evil: Afterlife”. Paul W.S. Anderson returns to direct, with Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter back as zombie killing babes. They’re joined by “Prison Break’s” Wentworth Miller this fourth go-round, which is coming to you in 3D cause, you know, everything’s better in 3D. Or at least, the ticket is more expensive. Either/or.

The fourth installment of the hugely successful RESIDENT EVIL franchise, RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE is again based on the wildly popular video game series, and will this time be presented in 3-D. In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, ALICE (Milla Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead – and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

Starring Milla Jovovich, Wentworth Miller, Ali Larter, Kim Coate, Kacey Barnfield, Shawn Roberts, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, Norman Yeung, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

Get dead September 10, 2010.

I Liked the first two, but the 3rd was kinda stupid. Hopefully with bringing Wesker and Chris in they don't destroy the movie like they did the 3rd.

I still didn't see the third one yet. I know the first two are great. I miss nemesis already lol. I'm glad the zombies are upgraded like the game. How was the 3rd one? What was bad about it?

I saw all three.

I thought the 2nd one was butchered. The 1st and 3rd were much better IMO.

I get mad when I see people talk crap about these movies. LoL I don't know why it just get that way. I am not going to start a fight here. I the only reason I think I get mad is because I hate when people talk crap around Milla. Maby its a guy thing.

Well Milla is one of the saving graces of these movies. Like i said in an earlier post i don't really hate the movies i think they are dumb fun. I just think they are god awful at representing the games. I think i am going to have to rewatch the trilogy to get ready for the 4th.

I have only played the 5th game. It was not that bad. I might try the others. The 5th game was really creepy when i played it.

If you liked the 5th then you would love the 4th. The 4th is IMO the best in the series then i like the 2nd the second most. Also is you have a Wii or Gamecube the REmake was really good it was a full remake of the 1st.
