That's the case for me; CC is completely unorganised and most of the time their only cashier is at customer service The BB near me is pretty decent.

I stopped shopping at CC after the botched an install, and would not pay damages.

Maybe is the top 10% of those 35000 employees had tried to keep customers, the bottom 90% would still have jobs.

they expect all stores to close by end of March. If they follow the pattern of the recently closed CC stores, expect the 50% discounts to start appearing at the beginning of March and as each week progresses they will started to add additional 10% savings until everything is either cleared out or when the deadline for store closing hits.

The initial 20-30% savings is nothing to get excited about, however I was amazed at how much they did sell, especially TVs at that rate when my local CC was closing. Usually that discount rate only equals online pricing and you need to pay sales tax. But there is a huge population out there that continue to avoid buying big ticket items online.

They will also sell all fixtures and during the waning weeks I saw they were selling their store used advertising display 42" Samsung Plasmas for $650. Amazingly, they were all gone (about 16 of them) within a week.

I only got one blu-ray cheap, that was Invasion for $9.99, quite a few of them sold at the 40% off retail price which still didn't match Amazon's pricing. By the time I got there when they had 60-70%, there was barely anything left.

I'm in the market for a surround sound system to go with my newly purchased Samsung 46" LCD. Was thinking of getting it soon, but may wait it out or at least keep an eye on it and see if anything reaches decent discounts to buy. Also thinking of getting a better bedroom TV, so may keep an eye on both of thsoe.

i guess losing my job won't be so bad, i can grab 10 or so blu rays i've been wanting and stash them in the back until they go 99.99% off, lol.

It's now Feb 12, 2009. I saw mostly discounts of 20 - 30%, not exactly what I would call a going out of business fire-sale.
