I hear ya. I don't ever pre-order unless I'm getting an incentive to do so. In the past that usually meant a free t-shirt, I still have my RE Code Veronica shirt with the huge Umbrella Corporation Task Force logo on the back.

Those sort of incentives have seemed to dry up the last few years, but recently some games have been luring me in again. I reserved the Limited Edition of Soul Calibur 4 so that I could get that extra costume content that came with it. I also reserved Mercenaries 2 because extra costumes were being offered with that reservation. I'm a huge fan of alternate costumes and character customization. I played City of heroes for 3 years with a constant case of altitis, which is what we called it when we used the massive costume creator to regularly create new characters. Of course I'm experiencing the same thing currently in Soul Calibur 4. If more games offer that kind of incentive, I will be happy to reserve more.
