From what I learned in a ScreenX thread on the other forum, movies have had select sequences shot with the additional ScreenX size in mind for years now, indicating that it is native footage. It was certainly news to me. I am curious about how it would work in 3D, would anything "popping out" from the left and right screens seem to block the main screen?

Back before Sony forgot about its 3D gaming initiative, they had Uncharted 3 in 3D. So it would be appropriate for the Uncharted film to be in 3D. From what I recall of them, the framing in the games would work reasonably well for 3D.

I have misgivings about the content of the movie, based upon the content of the last Uncharted games, but I hope the 3D is top-notch, and much more than depth-only.

Because an origin story of the toy isn't really consistent with a key story arc in the first movie lol.

Yep, it is indeed. Or at least, it’s been retconned that way. But this looks like it could be pretty nifty. Hoping for a quality film and a 3D Blu.

"83" is a new Hindi / Bollywood film based on India's victorious Cricket World Cup run in 1983, and it will be getting a 3D release on 24 December 2021 in India. Not sure whether the 3D version will be released internationally or not.

No point creating a new thread for this because most Indian films don't get a 3D Blu-ray release. One can hope for such a release, provided the 3D presentation is good enough to be remembered. So if I get to watch it, I'll be sharing my thoughts on the 3D here on this thread.

A lot of new stuff has been released at the Comic Con Experience 2021, including a new clip from the upcoming Spider-Man spin-off "Morbius" and the first look to "Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse - Part One", the sequel to the 2018 film "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse". Not yet, unfortunately. This is becoming a routine for Sony films, we got a late confirmation about the 3D version for "Spider-Man: No Way Home".

In my heart, I've already bought tickets to three separate showtimes of Across The Spider-Verse.

What are the best customer service emails for Sony? I want to get an early start lobbying them to release Across the Spider-Verse on 3D Blu-ray. Into the Spider-Verse was the film that inspired me to get a 3DTV, and I won't rest until its sequel is available as well.
