Vacancy was just reissued in October as part of a triple feature:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/I-Kno...lu-ray/162535/

I thought the movie was all right, but I'll watch most anything with Kate Beckinsale.

Thats from Mill Creek, no thanks. I much rather have the original Sony release and by itself.

Not to mention its all three movies jammed into a single disc which Im sure caused compression issues.

I remember one of the early/crazy OOP titles being Blades of Glory. I think people paid like $275 for that at one point. Now, this is a different era in the blu-ray market and that title had it's own reasons for shooting up in price - so of course I'm not saying Congo could ever compare to that. I'm just illustrating it doesn't always have anything to do with the quality of the film.
You're not wrong. I more meant that even when OOP and in demand I don't expect Congo to net prices in the realm of an out of print Arrow Video Limited Edition or Criterion or whatever. It will still cost you, but more in a kind of "more than the MSRP" way and not a $100 way. You never know though, as you say sometimes the lesser interest titles are the ones scarce enough to be super expensive.

I do think in general though it says something that after a week or two of this news being out there most of these titles are still <$10 on Amazon, with exceptions.

Got that right. Especially since they're anime which I don't care bout anymore. (Except for a very select few. Let them be OOP.)

It's an imported version, not the US release. It says it on the details tab.

Honestly the only film on this list that I really wanted was a copy of Death Wish. Meant to upgrade my dvd for ages and only found out the blu went OOP when it was too late. Any chance at a reprint?

inetvideo.com still has the Canadian Blu-ray for $8.99 + shipping. It is still listed as in stock, so hopefully it actually is and they don't attempt to cancel your order.

Yes. Paramount already reprinted The Warriors. I am sure they will reprint others that sold well and are popular, and Death Wish seems like one that would qualify. No guarantees in life though, of course.
