I feel ya same. Have em all with slips

Ir's OK Jon. You can "find" more slips for these and no one here is going to complain.
But you will get more direct sales.
Kind of silly to literally sell yourself short.
Not everything you're gonna release is going to sell out it's LE two months before the street date.
Make the most of what you can, while you can.

I don't care about slip covers. I only recently discovered that when I order from VS I can buy films cheaper without a slip cover so I go for that option.

I would LOVE to see "Reckless" on bluray especially done in the Fun City way with vintage slipcover and materials.

Bummer. Don’t have any social media. And twitter especially makes it hard to look at unless you have an account. Went on the site to order Paradise but was shocked to see only a standard edition available. Would greatly appreciate more slips made seeing as how there is demand and possibly quite a low amount made. Getting a slip for Paradise would be oh so nice.

I mean sure it’s our part to pay attention. But there is so much stuff out there to keep up with. If labels are low key going to be changing their business model it would help if they were a bit more up front & transparent about it.

On Sale Friday at Noon ET: Enjoy The Ride Records in conjunction with Paramount Music proudly presents 48 HRS., Composed and Conducted by James Horner (Avatar, Titanic, Braveheart).

Eddie Murphy rocketed to movie star status (and earned a Best Actor Golden Globe nomination) in this acclaimed action-comedy that pushes the limits of both genres. Nick Nolte is unforgettable as Jack Cates, a rough-edged Inspector on the hunt for two vicious cop killers. Unlikely ride-along con Reggie Hammond (Murphy), is given 48-hour leave from prison to help Cates on the case. The laughs fly almost as much as the punches, as both men attempt two very different goals in a short amount of time.

Available on vinyl for the first time with remastered audio, 48 HRS. is limited to 500 copies across three color variants. The Fun City Editions variant will be available on their site Friday at Noon ET as well, so be sure give them a follow if you’re a fan of physical media.

I just watched it for the first time last weekend via a mint VHS I found....great 80's teen drama. Soundtrack is amazing (which would probably prevent a release).

Gotcha. Reckless (1995) is bizarre Christmas movie that hasn't made it beyond VHS. I had to pay a good amount for a copy. It has a special place in my heart for being one of those WTF movies that my dad rented back in the day for the family along with Pecker (1998).

I have been keeping up to speed with any posts on Facebook by FCE, as well as discussion in this thread, about LE versions of titles that are close to selling out. That was until Deep in the Heart. The last time I checked FCE's website for this Blu-ray title (a week to two weeks ago), the limited edition version was still available. Checked earlier and discovered it was sold out (hopefully a standard edition of it happens).

I couldn't preorder this one fast enough. Potential A+ release! Tbh I haven't been that interested in FCE since they left OCN, but Paradise was an amazing announcement and this compilation looks like a home run. Nice job FCE!

Pre-ordered. Even just for the fact Fun City are continuously releasing new to disc stuff. That kind of business model alone makes me give them my unwavering loyalty.

Don't bite my head off but I just wanted to ask why people buy trailer compilations. I know that people must buy them. Otherwise, they wouldn't release them. Just curious about the interest. Do people pop them in and just watch a bunch of trailers some nights? Again, not asking in a mean way. Just curious.

As a sucker for trailer compilations, there are various points of interest.

First of all, I find it very enjoyable/fun to watch an hour or so of trailers back to back, especially when the selection is well done, and you have some fun over the top trailers for "b movies". The Drive-In Delirium series, or the Trailer Trauma series, are good examples. These series usually feature exploitation/action/adventure/horror titles, which make for a fun watch.

Second, they can be a bit of a "sampler", where you usually end up finding the trailer for something you haven't watched yet, and you end up seeking out the film.
Also, it's great to watch it with other people, to showcase certain titles and genres, to see what titles they want to "properly" watch later.

And one final note, but don't forget it used to be quite usual for trailers to feature either deleted scenes/outtakes, or even totally stand-alone footage that isn't part of the final film, which is always great to have.

Thanks for indulging me in my curiosity with a thoughtful response. I can see why now more than I did before when I first saw the announcement. It gives options and I like that.

I don't personally have any comps yet. I can see the interest if you have them on in the background when having a party. I could also see putting one on while having a game night or just playing games in general (If you are into video games/board/card games)

Trailers are an art form in themselves (especially the old-school '70s/'80s trailers). They take the very best bits out of a movie (sometimes the ONLY good bits out of a movie) and condense them in a small, usually briskly-edited package. Then you get a great narrator (like the immortal Don LaFontaine) who makes EVERY movie sound like an Oscar winner, or sometimes excised footage from the film, or sometimes completely new footage (the '70s one where they interview actors...oops, random viewers...outside a premiere and they all rave how scary it was, sorry can't recall the film), or cool tag lines (Keep telling yourself it's only a movie...it's only a movie). I always like not knowing which trailer is next, because after the initial burst of excitement, it's like a 2 minute sugar rush, and then you get another one!

I'm actually surprised that trailer compilations aren't more popular considering how eroded attention spans have become today.

For me, though, sometimes I feel like watching a movie but at my age I'm now more likely to fall asleep watching movies if I start them too late. Watching trailer comps can give you a "film fix" without committing time to a whole movie. Then you can fall asleep at any point and it doesn't matter much. Also, sometimes when you're in the mood for a movie but don't know what to watch trailer comps can give you ideas.

But one thing I thought of recently is throwing on a trailer comp while perusing my movie shelves. Some nice background noise while choosing what movie from my collection to watch might be cool.

I thought all the LE slipcovers, like Heavenly Bodies, were 'site exclusive' on Fun Cit's site and no one else was going to sell them? Or am I mistaken?
