Ahhhh - to be retired. Living the dream. Shut up in my bedroom with short bursts to the kitchen (food) and living room (TV). Last year I literally spent all my time (day and night) at our pool. Well that's been closed and won't reopen until maybe next year. My favorite restaurant went out of business. Used to go out for dinner 2 or 3 times a week. Haven't gone since February.

My outdoor life is so exciting . . . go to Walmart . . . go to doctor. . . go to Dollar Tree. Once or twice a month I go to Noble - sells used DVDs and BDs. Most times it's a bust - sometimes a great haul.

Retired, collecting Social Security and living off my investments. reading 2 to 3 books a week. Oh - and of course spending lots of time here at BD.com and another forum I belong to (different subject matter)

Can't beat it!

think of it this way, if you go to the store and something costs 25$ can you buy it if all you have is 24.50? or even 24.90?
You can't say you have 25 when you don't even if it is off by 1 penny and we are talking billions. You have not reached that finish line yet.

Just got off the phone with "the office." My AC is not working properly (again) and needed to put in a work order. While I had them on the phone I asked about the possible date of opening up the pool complex (really nice here). Still will remain closed until our Governor (bit*h) decides to give the go ahead and then it would be limited to only 10% occupancy: 4 people at a time.

Well Wednesday I was stuck working until 11:30 PM. Because it had to be finished for Thursday morning before 8 am

The clothing of a retired guy:

Spring and Summer:

2 pair of shorts, 1 pair of lightweight pants. 1 blue jean vest to hold all the crap I carry around with me, 1 baseball cap

Fall and Winter:

1 pair of blue jeans, 2 pair of sweat pants, 1 blue jean jacket to hold all the crap I carry around with me, 1 winter jacket with leather gloves, 1 baseball cap

Indoor Clothing:

20 colored "T" shirts and 20 pairs of underwear (boxers). I do laundry once every 20 days.

Paramount Pictures will release Love and Monsters via premium VOD Oct. 16.

It will be available on VOD platforms for a 48-hour rental period at $19.99. The film will also be available for early digital purchase at $24.99.

How has Vudu gotten any better since being bought by Fandango?

Bitrates are the same; no change there.

Prices are the same; no change here, either.

The user interface is the same, too.

No more $2 credits for watching "free with ads" movies at the end of the month.

Apparently, they have also done away with, or have reduced, the disc to digital program as well. I am not absolutely certain about this, but it is among the rumors circulating since the buyout.

I use Vudu, and I share my digital collection with my friends, and none of us have noticed any improvements.

As for Vertigo, there is a wonderful 4K disc box set of Hitchcock films coming out in just 9 days:

The blu-ray with digital copy is released on Tuesday for $14.96.
