So why not get this big box set it looks really sharp and it will fit well with my other sets and Hitchcock is some one to be celebrated. I wish I would have gotten the big Kubrick set but I had already had most of the movies when it went on sale. Kubrick and Hitchcock on a shelf displayed next to each other in all their glory would have been nice.

Yeah, what is up with the US set being so expensive? It has 1 more movie, which we can all get seperatly.

I am in the US and I'll probably be importing the larger Hitchcock set, which I think looks very nice. Even to import the cost only comes to about $131usd, which is $94usd less! Totally worth it.

Yeah, I originally really didn't think it was bad at all. I guess those who have their minds in the gutter open our eyes. Now I can't stop looking at the big Cock!

I just don't like the way his surname is split, rather than the fact that "COCK" may have more than one meaning. It would be just as bad for me if it was :

ALF
RED
HITCHCOCK

Having said that I don't think it'd be enough of an issue for me to actually stop me buying the set...

That picture should make everyone want this set over the US version. Looks incredible.

As for me, my decision's made up. I could've been swayed by a significant decrease in price on the smaller UK Hitch set, but this set here looks to be an incredible bang for the buck. Especially my $US.

Yep, looks incredible. Everything looks like it is a real picture - EXCEPT for the box itself. Before giving in to distrust, does anyone know what it will be made of?

I thought it was going to be flimsy plastic, based on the previous pics...but this new pic, leads me to believe it might be a strong plastic shell. Which would be great!

Even if the box is not the highest quality plastic or whatever material they use, the set is still a 1000x better than the US version. I think at this point the only thing that could make me not have this on the shelf is if there is some foul up with the discs.

Tesco have a 15% off £25 or over voucher deal so this set becomes £83 BUT not sure which set it is, the box or the smaller digipack.

When I search on Tesco I can see two Hitchcock boxes. One says it's DVD but the picture looks like the large box shown a few posts ago, plus it's £111.87 which suggests Blu not DVD to me... They call it Masterpiece Collection - Premium Edition. The second set says Blu-ray, is £97.07 but has no picture - that is just called Masterpiece Collection.
If I had to bet on it I'd say the cheaper one is the digipack and the more expensive one is wrongly marked as DVD and in fact is the larger Blu-ray box.
First box
Second box

Reasons the U.S. set is better for me:

It takes up less shelf space. It is more colorful. The disc art is colorful and won't have ratings logos. No plastic shell to crack or have to remove every time you want a disc. No birds all over the thing promoting one film of 14. I don't need all the poster cards, wardrobe pics, storyboard, etc. It's fluff that I'll look at once. I have many books that have the same stuff anyway.

That said, I may double dip at a later date if the price drops a lot, only because I love Hitchcock.
