Yup. We'll likely see continued diminishing extras as well. I still haven't picked the BD for this up because of the measly one new feature.

Just got done watching this and It was good. The only thing I didnt like was how big and bulky they made Batman. From what i heard he was that way in Frank Millers comic. Which i have not read but a friend of mine is going to let me borrow it.

Why are they selling this as a Part 1 and not a complete package? Im assuming theres a Part 2 to come. Wasnt the original adaptation just a 4 issue mini series? How does that get stretched out into 2 films?

Movie was excellent. Liked it more than Red Hood, which has been my favorite up until this point. I can't wait for part 2. Weller's voice was perfect for the older Bruce Wayne.

It's a damn shame that the shorts are no longer made...those were some of my favorite parts of these DCU releases.

Does it end on a cliffhanger? Does it feel incomplete? A year seems too far of a wait for me to view this then if thats the case

I actually liked how big he was. When he punched someone it seemed freaking deadly lol same with the sound effects i thought they were really good.

Are you serious? That is ridiculous. I am not a fan of seeing half a film, and waiting a year to see the second half. Especially since I'm sure they had the entire thing finished at the same time.

I was going to wait until part 2's release day to watch part 1, but I might as well just watch it now.

This feels like a whole film and is the same length as the other releases. I was disappointed the animated series episode with the telling of this story was not included.

Canada Very good!

Very very good movie!, I never imagined it was that different from other Batman I've seen before.
I found a pretty tough Batman, in the way that is shown I consider it a DC Comics equivalent to "Rocky Balboa" or "Rambo[2008]" (I mean a comeback) where again Batman give us the best of it!.

Thanking and because of this production, we will have the opportunity to see the Joker in Batman: TDKR Pt.2 which is a more homicidal Joker which I think will be a pretty bloody production of DC Comics.

My order of best DC titles:

1) Batman: Under the Red Hood
2) Superman / Batman: Public Enemies
3) Superman vs. The Elite
4) Wonder Woman
5) All-Star Superman
6) Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1
7) Superman / Batman: Apocalypse
8) Superman: Doomsday
9) Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
10) Superman / Shazam: The Return of Black Adam
11) Justice League: Doom
12) Batman: Year One
13) Batman: Gotham Knight
14) Justice League: The New Frontier
15) Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
16) Green Lantern: First Flight

I Hope DC Comics continue to include figurines in 2013

Regards

What are you talking about? Winter 2013 would be January through March of next year, not a whole year from now.

Anyway, I just got done watching it and enjoyed it immensely. I especially loved how the music gave it an 80's action movie feel, which felt very appropriate. And even though it only covers half of the storyline, it still felt complete on its own.

Isnt this common knowledge that Frank Miller's Batman TDKR is why we have Under The Red Hood, Year One, Keaton, Nolan's versions, and even Return Of The Joker to name just a few.

This is the new root, unless u wanna factor in Denny O'Neal and the gun wielding 40's version. Its not new, but im glad late pass dudes are entertained.

The original book is essential and mandatory reading.

Oh. Disregard my post. Early 2013 isn't bad at all.

I had assumed December 2013 as well. With that said, its utterly ridiculous to release this in two parts if its just 3 months apart.

They need to maximize their profits on the project, since they wanted to do the full story as two movies. I'd also rather they take their time and give us the best quality film then rush one or wait to release them. This first part works almost completely as a standalone movie, so they treated it as such. Nothing stupid about that in my eyes.

Justice league doom is alot higher for me and Superman Elite is probably lower for me too. I have to say Dark Knight part 1 might be first for me.
