Goodness, >everything< is coming out on May 22nd, it feels like.

Plenty to watch during the long Memorial Day Weekend.

Which, of course, is the weekend that the missus wants to go to Spain, so I'll be missing out.

Not sure if I should pick up this box set or wait for the inevitable 5-film set.

Then again, I'll probably be double or triple dipping with Fallen Kingdom due to store exclusives which I'm sure will include at least one 4K. I might as well just go ahead and grab this set.

Dunno if I need these day one but obviously I'll be getting them at some point. Even though I only like/want the original and World I know I'll end up getting the boxset.

It might be early, so trying not to overreact, but if those last links posted are an indicator and they're pulling the same thing again as the first go round on BR with it being a box set only for a while....that just makes it an easy pass for me, especially with so many other great titles hitting this year to spend $$ on and scratch the UHD itch. Hope I'm wrong, it would be a day one purchase for I and IV. I'd rather not wait for individuals obviously...but I can!

There are two Amazon ASINs for this release. I assume one has movie money for the new film while the other does not.

4K standalone database entries

No release dates for the standalone releases yet. However, I assume they will come at a later date.

Exactly! Not everyone wants the entire series (I sure don't) but unlike last time, many probably feel they can live with their current BD's until they release these movies on 4k separately and we could re-dip as desired.

Ha, do what I did. My wife wanted to go to Virginia Beach for a mid-week get away. The same day Godzilla came out(the last one) I went and brought a nice BIG pic of VB. Got her some Epson salt bath crystals a CD of soft soothing beach music that lasted 2hrs. Cooked her her favorite foods with dessert.

She was fine with that and the BASS from the movie provided the bath bubbles

She was happy and so was I.

$80 for 4 new 4K releases is a pretty good deal, coming in at $20 a piece plus tax, but I think I need to hold off on this. Don't need all the movies at once and a complete set, without the new Fallen Kingdom, or the next movie, is just silly since I would end up selling this set at some point anyways before the new releases.

If there was just an original Trilogy 4k set, I would buy that in a heartbeat.
