FOX's "American Idol" (Season 16)

Ugh, I hate 90% of the Beatles' music....so I'll be a tiny bit biased to most of their performances because of that



I'm still playing catch up right now:


Aaron - It was ok, didn't love it but it wasn't bad.

Katie - That was great, she knocked it out again Probably her best of the year, and also one of the only of their songs I like.

Andrew - Well he was back last week and he again left this week.

Mike - Not great, just good again

Crystal - I didn't like it personally. She didn't sound terrible or anything, I just didn't like it. The guy with the didgeridoo was the bomb though

Tim - Tim was Tim. 'Nuf said.

Casey - Edit: I re-listened to it, and liked it more, but it was still boring. It did sound good though.

Siobhan - What the hell was that?

Lee - Pretty good, but also not great again. He gets bonus points for his bagpipes idea.

The bottom 3 I didn't like AT ALL.

My take on the performances:

Aaron - Bad song choice but he sounded good singing it.

Katie - Her best performance and she may just dodge the bottom 3 tomorrow.

Andrew - He sang my fav Beatles song but I think it was a bad song choice and was probably the weakest performance of the night.

Mike - Great performance. He turned a Beatles song to a current R&B song and it sounded great.

Crystal - What can u say about Crystal. Great as well and she is smooth sailing right now.

Tim - Just when I knew Tim for sure was goin home and he gives a pretty good performance. The song fit him really good unlike last week singing R&B.

Casey - Pretty good actually and sumthin very different from him.

Siobhan - Like Casey she did sumthin very different and it was pretty good as well. Like I said before she has endless range.

Lee - Weird performance but I always love Lee's singing as he has my fav voice so I enjoyed it even with the bagpipes haha.


The bottom 3 this week will be tough but obviously as more people get eliminated the tougher the choices get. So my bottom 3 are:

Andrew
Tim
Aaron

I think Andrew will go home and Tim yet survives again. Got Em!!

Not sure, but she was in my bottom three like usual.


Tim and Andrew are obviously the two easy choices for the bottom three, the 3rd is a tougher prediction. I'm not sure who it will be.

LOL need to go by performances and stop thinking just by looks alone. Although I will admit, if this show was all hot women singing, I'd probably watch every episode.

Yea it seems like every week its always easy to pick 2 in the bottom and then that 3rd person is the tough one. Siobhan wont be in the bottom 3 so u can forget that. Katie will be back there again before her. Hahahah! I go by body of work to so I may be different. Got Em!!

She probably won't be there this week, but you never know with this show man, a lot of people end up in the bottom three over the years that you wouldn't expect.

Maybe Aaron will be there.

So since there wasn't an absolute "suck" performance last night, I'd guess Tim is going home tonight...even though I rated him higher than Andrew last night.

The bottom 3 will be Tim, Andrew, and Aaron.

Ugh, I'm so annoyed that Tim is safe. Sick of him. This is (or is supposed to be) a singing competition, not a modeling competition.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats all I have to say! How the heck did Mike get the least amount of votes??????? I knew once it was him that had to sing to save his spot, I knew he would blow the roof up and boy did he rip it!!! Now it gets serious. Still though they need to come up with a better voting system because no way Mike gets lower votes than Tim or Andrew!! I would use america's votes and combine them with the judges decision as well. The judges seem to be smater than us civilians who vote. That was rediculous and wow what an emotional night. I felt for Mike to. Oh well on to next week. Got Em!!

I'm still sticking to the theory that Mike being "voted" off was a ploy. This hasn't been the best season and I think they were playing it to add drama and tension to a lackluster season.

Well - either way it worked - my wife was acting like his very life was on the line.

Mike is going home sooner or later - not sure why they bothered with the save.

Tim should have gone home by now. Wow!

I think they should have voted off Mike - then allowed him to crush Tim in a powerful bear hug - allowing another spot to open back up so he can stay.

Then, each week, there would be a lot of tension hoping that Mike didn't get voted off so that he wouldn't have to kill again - talk about "drama and tension"!

Naw I dont think so. I mean this is a serious reality show and I would hope they would play fair and go by the actual votes. Also u may think its a lackluster season but the ratings are just as high as normal so I dont know how it would be lackluster. I think its a really good season and much better than the last season I watched which is when Underwood won. Got Em!!

Why u say that? Well all of them are goin home sooner or later accept for the winner right? Mike is one of the best in the group and no way should he go home this soon. He should easily make the top 5 and then from there it would be tough. The next 2 to go home should be Tim & Andrew. My top 5 are still Lee, Crystal, Siobhan, Mike, & Casey. Also man I kinda felt like your wife lastnight haha. I was on edge and about to get upset if he didnt get saved. I knew he would though as he is a great singer! I think why he didnt get so many votes was because of how much he changed the song. The Beatles are the most popular group of all time and some probably felt disrespected. Oh well we will see what happens next week. Got Em!!
