The "limited" often makes the item less valuable and has the mindset that everyone gets a trophy. I am npt looking for everyone to be the same. Life is a fight amd while it sucks sometimes for the "loser" that shouldn't be taken away for the "winner" that loves the victory. Also who said I loved for others not to get one?????? Go back and read my post. I stated I liked the process and the fact that it makes companies up their game. "Limited" is based on supply and demand. It is high time that people stop believing items will always be there. What they choose to label it is their call. I think light up trap boxes are a given to be limited. Even if not called limited do people seriouslt think a Nakatomi Tower from Die Hard was going to keep being made? |

Got home last night and unpacked the copy I got from Amazon in the sad plastic bag.
Surprisingly zero damage. It looks like it came from their distro center like 7 miles from my house so I think I just got lucky and it wasn't at the bottom of the pile or tossed on the door step. Lights works... discs seem to be correct... pretty happy overall. Glad they put all the discs in slips inside the case because it looks clean as heck when you open it up. Will likely watch this weekend as I was on babysitting duty last night with my wife in night school for her masters. |

I've got 2 4K discs of Ghostbusters and no 4K disc of Ghostbusters II. Did anyone get an extra Ghostbusters II 4K disc in their set and no Ghostbusters 4K disc? Cause I'm willing to swap. After reading about all of the horseshit Amazon is pulling in regards to returns/refunds of this set, I'm willing to help someone else out if I can. My box is damaged, too, and it looks like I shouldn't even bother trying to get compensated for that. What a shitshow, BTW. Damaged boxes and incorrect discs with no likely recourse for compensation due to the limited nature of the set? Sony couldn't have handled this any worse.
BTW, this is my first post here. Been lurking since 2012. |

So, several things, again complete speculation. Karate Kid Dolby announced in September for December 7 I believe. So you had almost a month in between the announcement for Ghostbusters. Around the same time as Karate Kid getting pre-orders, Afterlife was not doing well at the box office. Sometime later, a Spider-man Trilogy 4K starts to show up with virtually ZERO information about it. Based on Karate Kid and Ghostbusters Dolby, a lot of people figured this had to be Spider-man Dolby. We later find out that it's just the HDR10 discs. So, is this Sony starting to balk again on Dolby because they are losing money? Did Karate Kid not get the nostalgia sales that they expected? Did they get cold feet on the Ghostbusters franchise based on 2016 and Afterlife? Again, all speculation. Also to your point about how they have released many Ghostbusters with different special features, same disc, different blu same 4K, etc. Makes me wonder again, why pay to produce the 2 Dolby discs when they could have just slapped the HDR10 discs in the Ultimate pack? Clearly it would have still sold out. |

In other news, all the posts about wrong discs made me go check my set and thankfully I have all the discs. Hopefully I'm allowed to feel happy about this.
I hope everyone who got wrong discs is able to find someone to trade with though, probably be the best solution since I don't see stores doing anything besides a return or partial refund. Maybe Sony will do something but that could take a while. |
