Absolutely bonkers what the slipcover version of Heavenly Bodies is selling for on Ebay. I fail to see how this benefits Fun City in anyway. In all honesty it’s these sort of shenanigans that are curing me of my need for physical media.

Do you mean your need for limited editions? I can't fathom not buying a long awaited movie I want (like Heavenly Bodies) on blu-ray just because I can't get the cardboard... genuinely curious if this is the case.

Heads-up: Lifeguard, Racing With The Moon and Welcome To Fun City are all available to pre-order with slips on DiabolikDVD right now! 'Welcome' doesn't appear to be available without a slip but the others are.

It might be a bit cheaper for international customers than ordering from Fun City themselves, though I haven't checked this.

Believe it or not you can make your own slipcover for the price of a cheap printer.
So no need to abandon life over not getting a slipcover.

This is good news; I felt the last two FCE releases (Heavenly Bodies / Paradise) were pretty poor films, but their forthcoming slate (including the Sayles) represents much more the type of movies that originally got me into the label.
